so if an arena deck with 12 SoD's used this to get ~350 max hp and gets whittled down to 100 hp, they have a shield worth 15 damage reduction lol??

For a basis of how it would compute:
Max HP: 100
Current HP: 68

([Max HP] - [Current HP]/[Max HP])*10
((100-68)/100)*10
(32/100)*10
0.32*10
3.2
~3 Blocking

Now, in the case of boosting HP:
Max HP: 150
Current HP: 100

([Max HP] - [Current HP]/[Max HP])*10
((150-100)/150)*10
(50/150)*10
0.33*10
3.3
~3 Blocking

All boosting HP would do would be how much damage you have to take before the blocking goes further up.

You should chance the card text. Right now there is a conflict between the image and the notes. According to the image, "Physical damage is reduced by X, where X is the amount of damage you have taken divided by 10" suggests that if a 500hp opoment has taken 490 dmg, he will have a 49 dmg reduction shield while the formula states a ([Max HP] - [Current HP]/[Max HP])*10 dmg reduction, which is 9.
