I disagree. Titan can bypass shields, but this lets you create a 7 atk creature for just 1 extra :fire when destroyed. Quite balanced.

No it does not as it is replaced not destroyed. As for the cost reduction, is it necessary or not  ???.

PVE shouldn't be all about copying a deck code and converting time into electrum, score, and potentially rares.
If the only way to derive fun from a game is its PVP content, then non-hardcore players a.k.a. the mass are alienated from the hardcore community.

It's a good idea, but it's also really similar to Khalni Fireblade in the Forge Archives... you might want to put a link to it in the notes before you submit to the Crucible regarding the similarities. ^^;

Based on said Fireblade though, I think this card could actually use -1 cost, which still leaves it slower than Fireblade and you can only have one at a time vs Phoenix, which can be Fractal'd and Immolated to spawn more.

Ok, this is an oddball and possibly OP idea, but what if it turned creatures and permanents you own to ash instead / as well as an activated ability?
That certainly says "Combustion" to me :)

MMm, personally I'd say ask the previous creator for permission to use a similar idea and submit your own version, ie. this
Unfortunately, that person is not currently a part of these forums.
Best I can suggest is PMing a currator and asking fi this could be allowed, I truthfully want to see how the community votes on this.
