It makes pretty good sense for them to gain extra benefit because they are "avatars" of those elements after all.

However, wouldn't that make them difficult to make it into this game? I mean, I'm guessing that would require extra work on the programmers to implement new interfaces?

So, I don't know that I should make changes like that. But, I do like the idea. Like, Light avatar could get a boost if the owner's element is light, right? It's pretty cool. I think effects are already pretty strong, so something like "an avatar gains + 2 HP when used by a corresponding elemental player."

It's an interesting idea. And anyway, I think none of the cards we design with more than 2 line of text are going to be implemented right now :P I think Zanz wants to fill the game with simple yet interesting cards now, then maybe he'll start coding more complex ones.

So if I'm not mistaking, the only thing it does is sit there, growing, waiting to be catapulted or gravity pulled?

Isn't that a bit one sided for a creature card? Even Armagio's are more flexible then that.

I like the idea of creatures growing over time but I don't see what the added value of this creature would be.

I think you may be under-estimating this card. You make it sound like catapulted or gravity pulled is something so small, but they can be pretty powerful with this card. Right now, we don't see too many people using catapult (because it's doesn't have strong combo and doesn't do well against other decks), so this card can fill in the gap for earth users.

Armagio is more flexible? really? I seriously doubt that. Armagio is easy to beat (I've never had difficult with him), but this creature basically keeps gaining HPs each turn, so if gravity pulled, it'd be harder to beat than Armagio. For example, for upped card, if you had 3 creatures, and if your opponent had 3 creatures (which I think is like an average I see), this card keeps gaining 12 HPs every turn.

Furthermore, I did not want to spill the beans here,..... but, if you used this card with let's say graveyard, malignant cell, etc... "wink wink." You could even throw in Chimera.... possibilities are endless. I've said this in my response to you in another thread before, but it's not what but how you use the card.

Just in case anyone is not subscribed to the series thread where I made the general announcement, this avatar is now in crucible. So, if you like this card, please cast your vote  ;D

Thank you  ;)

I'm considering to add burrow effect to this card, which I think may make this card more useful, but I'd like to hear from you guys about this too.

Basically, I just add burrow. But, while Earth Avatar is in burrow state, it does not receive Mother Earth effect.

I think this would deepen the strategies surrounding this card. Let me know if I should do this. Thanks.

The only reason i would add burrow for would be to get some insured life from Empathetic Bond. Other than that, i don't see how burrow would help.
And as it is now, i just realized how well this works with drain life

Thanks for the input Rutarete.
Come to think of it, it probably wouldn't be a good idea as it may make this card potentially slightly on the side of OP. It's a hard to use card and requires good tactics, so I thought I'd add a feature to make it easier (burrow would allow you to protect it when it's not as worth to use mother earth such as there is only 2 creatures on the field and later unburrow it when there are more creatures on the field to get well-worth HP boost). Then again, a user can just wait to throw in this card until there are enough creatures on the field too, so I guess it's not necessary to add burrow lol...
