NAME:
Weighted Dice
ELEMENT:
Entropy
COST:
4 :entropy
TYPE:
Permanent
ATK|HP:
ABILITY:
For the next 3 turns all of your opponent's (and some of yours) spells & abilities choose targets randomly.
ART:
Image made entirely by ratcharmer, from start to finish
IDEA:
ratcharmer
NOTES:
This card's primary purpose is to interfere with creature/permanent control.
Targets are picked randomly out of all legal targets.
For purposes of spells that target permanents a stack of pillars is considered a single object.
In the upgraded version "some" of your spells & abilities means there's a 40% chance your own spells & abilities will target randomly, the rest are unaffected
This card does not affect RoF/Plague etc.
SERIES:
N/A

Another permanent card idea that showed some favor in the poll I posted earlier.
http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,8684.0.html

Once again, things like the cost of the card and how many turns it lasts will probably need adjusted.

Let me know what you think :)

UPDATED 7/15: I cut the number of turns it lasts and lowered the cost, based on what feedback I've gotten. I also changed the upgrade, so it will sometimes affect your own spells & abilities and it doesn't cost any more to play.

UPDATE 7/23: Is this art better? I'm slowly trying to work my way through my various cards and improving the art from simple royalty-free photos
(http://imageplay.net/view/m7Gbd75437/Fate_Dice_III_white)
I have several variations on this image, all of them are 100% mine and I'm free to do with them as I wish

UPDATE 8/5: I changed the card image to one I was happier with.

Upped doesn't need to increase cost, yes it is marginally more powerful, but if you're running a deck with this card, you'll just plan your spellcasting a little differently around it.  I'd almost say reduce cost of upped to 5.

Really? I was worried it'd be OP, since with one card you could mess with permanent control, creature control and debuffs.

I suppose you have a point though, I guess I kinda double nerfed it by adding the time limit and making the upgrade more expensive. So long as everyone else doesn't violently disagree I'll probably change it soon.

I'd lower the cost and put this text: "For the next 4 turns all spells and abilities choose their targets randomly", to affect you too. This would be REAL chaotic =P

The unupped version affects both players. The upgraded version only effects your opponent, because the dice is weighted.

If people want I could change it to both upped and unupped affect everyone and all the upgrade does is cut the cost.

I do really like the imagery of a being of elemental chaos cheating at dice though . . .

and I seem to have finally gotten the picture working

Oh sorry, I've seen now the unup version, that's perfect. For the up version, 4 turns is too much IMO, it should be 2 or 3.

The upped version looks seriously overpowered. This would take away any effectiveness of most decks - shuts down any control except shields and RoF while preventing the enemy from countering your own control (quint/protect cast on random things). Almost the same goes for unupped version, you just have to make deck that avoids targetted skills. And the problem is, that you can't easily destroy this permanent, because your steals/deflags will be random.

Yeah, that's what I was worried about when I made the upgrade cost more and made it last for a limited duration. There's several ways we could deal with the problem:

1) Increase the cost
2) Make it last a shorter time
3) rework the upgrade so that it just cuts the cost and still affects both players
4) rework the upgrade so it has a 50% chance of affecting your own spells
5) something else- your input is more than welcome :)

CURATOR COMMENT

Fixed the images for you. Link to the main image on your image host, not to the thunbnail.

The text in the table must be exactly the same as on the card. Don't shorten it, put N/A or anything like that if tit has no stats the atk|hp is left blank.

I'll let you have a go at fixing your fountain.

Just to be a perfectionist shouldn't the card text have a capital (not sure about full stops).
