Pyramidals go by 3's, not 2's. Johann is proposing a block system by 3 instead 2 so the DR would be:
1 at 5 
2 at 15 
3 at 45 
"For every 5 quantum you possess" is just like a X/5 statement and would be
1 at 5
2 at 10 
3 at 15

Then this can almost work: If you have 5﷯ quanta, block 1 damage. If you have 15﷯, block 2 damage. If you have 45, block 3 damage.

i'd like to add "or more' somewhere though it doesn't fit on the card

Specifically, pyramids involve each successive addend being increased by the same amount.  That differentiates them from actual exponents, which involve successive multiplications... but a similar effect is created.

Strictly speaking, a pyramid chain involves adding successive odd numbers, which results in successive square sums, but the principle is the same:

1 = 1
1+3 = 4
1+3+5 = 9
1+3+5+7 = 16
...

Offtopic : Congrats on becoming a Curator johann!

Anyway, I've thought it over for quite a while and can't seem to find a way to implement pyramidal defense on the card without confusing newer players. I'd definitley appreciate any suggestions on how to word that (as well as possibly using that effect for a remake), but for now I'll leave the card as it is.
