This is cool, but potentially OP, i think. I'm not quite sure yet.
But is N + 1 enough to upgrade it? It doesn't seem like much

Perhaps it could upgrade into Kelvin? It's like Celsius, but shifted downward so that 0's at absolute zero.
The image should probably look more ice-ish. If it's an opposite to a flaming sword, shouldn't it be a cold shield?
It's a nice idea, and it could combine with Ice Bolt and Flooding into a killer mono-stall. I would vote for this.

Next, we'll complete the bolt-element set of these kinds of cards with a Darkness card. "Damaging spells have N% chance to miss your creatures, where N = total Darkness quanta divided by 3"
Perception is the source of misunderstanding.

Why, yes. I do have a Mindgate necklace. It's how I ninja everyone.

Most shields have a cost increase for getting +1 DR.  The reason I didn't give a cost increase for this one is because you could easily ruin the defense with quanta denial or PC.

Perhaps it could upgrade into Kelvin? It's like Celsius, but shifted downward so that 0's at absolute zero.
For thematicness's sake, it should stay Celsius.
The image should probably look more ice-ish. If it's an opposite to a flaming sword, shouldn't it be a cold shield?
I tried the best I could to simulate ice. I'm not that great at art.
It's a nice idea, and it could combine with Ice Bolt and Flooding into a killer mono-stall. I would vote for this.
Thanks! :)
Next, we'll complete the bolt-element set of these kinds of cards with a Darkness card. "Damaging spells have N% chance to miss your creatures, where N = total Darkness quanta divided by 3"
It'll definitley happen when there are still 9 other elements without pump cards. :P

I agree with Nephycos, if this is named anything related to temperature, it should be named Kelvin. Celsius simply doesn't make sense; it's way too hot. Fahrenheit (the weapon) could easily have been named Celsius.

I actually thing this should get a completely different name which isn't related to temparature (not even Kelvin) at all. Water reflects a cold element, and that shouldn't have a shield which reflects heat just as much as fahrenheit does.

0 degrees Celsius is the freezing point of water.  IMHO temperature can go either way.

Whoever said it reflected heat? It is cooling down water into ice to block the hit. (Some people on chat said Kelvin sounded too generic as well, so I went with Celsius.)

Isn't this a bit too powerful? Sure, it'll block Farenheit. But it will ALSO block creatures.  A shield that has a DR of the attack of Farenheit would be pretty strong.
Code: [Select]
6rk 6rk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gm 7gm 7gm 7gm 7gm 7gm 7go 7go 7go 7gp 7gp 7gp 7i6 7i6 7i6 7i6 7i6 7i6 7i6 7i6Replace the Permafrost's with Celcius's. Extra copies in case of PC.Not the best deck, but general idea I guess?  You can get out a weapon and the crawlers for pretty cheap, fast, but decent damage, then set a shield up.  As you sit there with your quanta accumulating, the shield and the ice bolts will get progressively stronger.

The above deck probably isn't OP.  You won't be completely invincible since it takes time to set up.  But it would be hard to counter.  Rushes don't have creatures that deal 20+ damage each.  Sure, you could use PC, but that's like with almost all shields.

I do like the idea though.  I can't balance things(*shines a giant light with the OldTrees Logo into the cloudy sky), but I think that a higher divisor would be nice.

Keep in mind that Farenheit costs less and that Water lacks methods of speed quantum generation compared to Fire (Fire has Ash Eater and Immolation but Water has nothing). I think that helps to balance it out.
