"Permanently burrow"
They still possess their current skill, right?

Correct. It would not remove skills. basically it would be as if they had entered the game burrowed. similar to graboid. except without any way to get unburrowed. Their attack would be halved and they could not be targeted by spells.

Edit: Shriekers, antlions, and devourers have an unburrow ability when burrowed. I think it might make sense to drop the permanently, and those creatures can unburrow themselves after being buried.

Nice. Probably balanced at the current cost.

I think so. And this way it can work effectively in a mainly  :water or a mainly :earth deck.

:water because it combos with trident. :earth cause it combos with earth shields and adds some CC that is not just stall (see BB and warden).

Ps. if you like the card please give it a nice rating.

I so like the CC part; can be used as a quint for nymphs/squid/warden/etc. since target keeps the skills  ^-^
nice card :D

if you put it that way it seems OP. Making your own creatures immortal for only 1 :earth is not quite my idea of a ballanced card. Even with a halved attack value it still is OP
Matbe change it so it can only target opponet's creatures or increase the cost.

hmm. hadnt thought of that.

anubis can quint for  :aether :aether unupped or  :aether upped.

:aether nymph can quint for  :aether :aether :aether

and neither of those reduce attack.

I can either make the skill more expensive: say  :earth :earth if you all believe it to be OP

or i can throw in a "premanently burrow target enemy creature"

Edit: Regardless, if you are worried about CC it would make more sense to carry a quint. This has a stall between when it is put out and when it can "quint" anything. and during that time it could easily be the target of CC itself since it only has 3 health. Im not sure how much use it would get as a quint card.

who wouldn't want to quint an artic squid?
Also the reason why anubis is balanced is because it cost is 8 :time
this creature is super cheap compared to that. but the idea to be able to use it both for damage control (burrowing opponent's creatures) and for anti creature control (burrowing you own creatures) makes it a perfect fit for any rainbow control strategy.
But it needs some nerf.

Anubis has 5|8 stats. The +4|+6 is worth a +6 quanta cost.
I agree (after comparing) this needs a slight nerf.

you never know which card idea will get a lot of feedback. :)

updated with slight nerf. Still quite playable (doesnt lose original intent) but now may be balanced to the added benefits of Bury.
