Shouldn't this be extended to no airborne? After all, why should a dragonfly step on caltrops?
Besides, isn't Owl's Eye the only ranged thing in the game?
Yes, but as seems to be so common, there just isn't enough room to fit both
I figured ranged made more sense here for a few reasons.
My biggest reason is that even flying creatures still have to get close to their target where as a ranged attacker just stands back and shoots.
Does the shield disappear if all caltrop stacks are consumed (similar to bonewall)?
Also, if the attacking creature is untargetable, is the weapon's skill still applied?
Yes, the shield disappears when the stack is consumed, just like bonewall.
Yes, the shield can afflict untargetable creatures as well. Its a shield, and all other shield effects function this way so this one will too. Shields have always been the primary method for dealing with pesky untargettable creatures.
Why should a dragonfly die to flooding?
Short Bow|Longbow is also ranged.
Also, so are any crusaders which have endowed a short bow/long bow or Owl's Eye/Eagle's Eye
Plus, this would also open up an avenue to help distinguish the range and flying statuses in the game a bit more.
