Card Updated:
- Glass Shard has now been changed and is intended to be different from majofa and moomoose's versions of the card. (Does not interact with pillars and this card now involves the concept of changing your mark to favor the shard given. It is different from a carbon copy of Nymph's Tears for marks and is not limited to the player's mark either.) Also obtained permission from majofa to submit idea to polls.
- Cost raised to 8 | 6.
Cost -
You are targeting a card to create a useful creature/permanent/spell in your hand. Bears similarities to PU but does not go straight to field.
The average shard costs 5 | 3 Other , which using 1.5[X] - 1.5 = Elemental value is 2 | 1
.
Nymph's Tears costs 2 Cards + 6
| 7-8
to play a Nymph.
PU costs 1 card + 7 | 6
to play a duplicate.
Glass Shard costs 1 Card + X+2 | X+1
to play a Shard.
Nymphs cost 8-9
vs Nymph's Tears which is 6 | 7-8 , so there is a 2-1 quantum advantage but 1 card disadvantage for using Nymphs.
PU + Non-Aether dragon usually has a 3 | 6 cost profit at cost of being a duo.
Shards cost roughly 2 | 1
vs Glass Shard which is X+2 | X+1
so there is X quantum disadvantage.
If PU was used on a mono-vanilla dragon profit would be worth 4 | 7.
1 Card seems roughly equivalent to 2
(looking at most generic CC such as RT, Lightning, and Shockwave), so Nymph's Tears is a raw 4 | 3 profit.
Unlike Nymphs, Shards are biased towards being stronger and overused than being underused and situational. I think inverting the advantage in this card to make X=4
is a suitable starting point for the Shard.
[ 4
] 1.5 + 1.5 = 7.5 ≈ 8
-Table updated to contain all the current shards.
I would appreciate any feedback on the new version of this card.
