Ability is basically a beheading, making the axe blunter and deal less damage.
Synergy with Gravity shield. Kill the creatures that can make it through.
Once attack reaches 0, it loses its ability.
Cost: Unupped Fahrenheit and Discord cost 3 quanta for 4 damage and a non-active ability. Upped Morning Glory and Titan cost 5 quanta for 8 damage and immaterial/momentum. So I made Axe/Heavy Axe cost one more.
Eternity's ability costs 3 :time to rewind a creature with no other restrictions. This kills a small creature for  3 :gravity and loses 1/2 damage.

3 quanta for instant death to <5 hp creatures? That's not OP. Lightning is much cheaper and you sacrifice attack when you use it. What happens when axe's attack reaches 0?

Should I lower ability cost to  :gravity :gravity?

how about the hability only cost 1  :gravity, deal 4 damage to target creature and delay both creature and weapon for a turn?

The attack lowering can be increased. If so, decrease the ability cost.
Alternatively, make the weapon delay so that it is not comparable to EE?
PVE shouldn't be all about copying a deck code and converting time into electrum, score, and potentially rares.
If the only way to derive fun from a game is its PVP content, then non-hardcore players a.k.a. the mass are alienated from the hardcore community.

I like the delay idea. the axe is heavy and it could thematically take a powerful, heavy swing to kill/harm the creature, setting the elemental off balance for a turn
