Okay, I guess I'll be the one to ask: why does upped have Voodoo?

Why does upped have Voodoo?

Minor buff to the upped. It goes with the theme of vengeance and the double-edged sword, and will also deal (a little) additional damage if you use her ability on herself.

That's a good explanation. However vengeance fits lot more in :darkness than :light

well elements already have Red Nymph making Vengeful Angel
slightly less interesting.

:'( Voodoo Angel not interesting??? *sobs*

I was going for a :light version of Seraph: both are angels, but where one has the shield, the other has the sword.

*MODIFIED*
Name changed: Angel of Vengeance–> Angel of Retribution.

"Retribution" sounds more righteous than "Revenge", so it's a better fit for a :light card. Thanks for your input Treldon :)

many players dun have electrum to get the upgraded Voodoo Angel
so i basing hardly on the unupgraded Angel of Retribution actually.

i see Vengeful Angel more like the practical version
of Red Nymph since it can buff creatures easier without
killing.

Practical is what I was goin for ;D

I hoped to fill a gap in the market, which is that unupgraded :light has no mid-hitter. Upgraded of course there's Archangel.

Wanted something with a useful ability that is still valid in a mono. This is pretty much to mono :light as GoTP is to mono :time.

Voodoo is a strange upgrade (although interesting mechanically, its theme is somewhere out the window in a field of dirt).

I do like the idea of two angels, one with the shield and the other with the sword. Very nice idea there.

Although if you really really want this to be a counterpart to Seraph, you could raise HP to be higher than attack (and obviously lower attack ^^) so that it slowly brings itself to Seraph's levels (but definitely should be able to get better stats than Seraph using at around two or three uses of its ability on itself, unupped at least), yet lacks the shield, while Seraph has the protection, but not the chance to deal as much damage without a sword.

The trouble would be that it wouldn't be very useful in mono :light or other duos without :fire, which is an aspect I'd really like to keep.
