This seems pretty UP for it's colossal cost. Maybe up how much HP is swapped to 5 or so?

Absorb 5 probably is a large cost.

I wouldn't up it to 5. That would make it rather powerful. Especially if you had large quanta generation(pestal) and several copies. But I could easily lower the casting cost some. Maybe 7/6?

For something of similar function, just look at titan (also ignores shields). This costs way more and does way less damage. The only benefit this has is that single point of healing.

Depending on the influence of comments, I might up it to 3max HP, maybe more. I might have underthought this card idea some XP

Hmm, you're mentioning Pestal, but even if this costed the same as a Vampire, without upkeep and stuff, I'd still take Vampires over this One of the main reasons being that Vampires are Legit Fractal targets, another that it heals and damages more in over 95% of the cases.

Lowering max hp isn't useful if you control the board like you do with Pestal, preventing your opponent from healing back is only of use in case they have quanta to heal themselves with
So basically the one situation where you have the quanta for this card, is the most useless one for it at the same time.

It's not the only situation for this card. I was just mentioning one. But this comes in handy against cards like Miracle, SoG, and any other card that heals the opponent since they'll have less HP that you'd need to bring them down. Sort of handy when you face SoG's all day long.
