How about in Rainbow, where 4-cost critters are common? I assume it changes into one at random.
Thematic-wise, why don't this be in :entropy? Weak creature that would evolve after an attack sounds more like a growing mutant.
Also, the upped one is doing too much. Instant effect, buffs carried over, cost reduction. At least make them cost the same.

I have to agree to an extent.  I didn't really give much notice since the color fit well with the  :air  background, but it, at least to me, seems to be more of a  :light

The theme that I'm aiming at is Air's "rising", in a sense - with an Avian theme, Air creatures would naturally want to go higher and higher, eventually enhancing themselves by going to physical (Dive, Wings) or elemental heights not reached before. Advent expands upon it by exposing a rising creature using Air energy to forced evolution. Similar themes can be found in Ascendance | Ascendance (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,9634.0.html).

Card updated:
Advent can at best morph the target into a creature with 6 cost higher than the targeted one from your deck.
Upgraded version no longer carries over positive status effects.

I agree. The ascension theme seems more like light to me.

Photons can become 6 cost creatures at highest due to added cost cap (that means no dragons), while Air lacks an unpredictable offense and more 'magic' oriented side that most elements have access to (even Gravity Elementals have the ability to control Gravity waves and create Gravity Forces, whereas Air Elementals seem to be almost entirely limited to physical effects except for Fog Shield, which is also technically leaning on things seeing as Fog is just a form of Water suspended in Air.)
