Reworded and some other changes yet again.  I think I nailed it this time so it makes sense.  Also, removed the quanta gain, and broke it off from the intended series, since it probably is best with just the CC concept alone.

For balance, it should, otherwise Phoenix could powerhouse a +7|+1 for  :water :water :fire.  Aflatoxin would follow suit, imo.

EDIT: Decided that Frozen/Delayed creatures will damage Blob since it is actually an engulfment than a battle type of action.  This balances out that Blob in Mono-Water would be too powerful, and that Freeze/Delay can also be used defensively against this type of mechanic, something I find an interesting twist on current mechanics.

Updated!

Now instead of enemy creatures retaliating with a first strike, the blob slowly reverts to it's natural form, as this is to reduce effects from synergy with Shard of Patience and Phoenix so they are not excessive, since the card gains utility as it uses its effect.  Also included a special Adrenaline table.

Decided to re-add the defense mechanism.  Now it feels balanced, but still useful.  I think I may finalize the wording.  The only thing that may be up for debate is how strong or weak the Resilience is.  Poll added.

I kinda like it with the defence mechanism in place (creature attacks it first)... but then thats partly because I want to see cards that make creatures fight each other... so I can yell in my best school yard voice *betcha my otyugh can lick your otyugh*
