I was messing around with shard golem, and I had a SoFre on the field and airborne golem. My golem was delayed with BB, but when I ended my turn, the critical bird still flew towards the golem. No damage was dealt though, just a small minor graphic bug.

Also the case for SoP mode.
My guess is that the check just ignores the fact that the creature is unable to attack, i.e. Stasis would also result in the graphical bug. (Not really just visual, it *does* the critical hit check etc, it will just not have any effect).
