If you have no weapon and try to cast Animate Weapon it still takes the quanta and doesn't play the card. Seems like a fairly innocuous bug but you could use it to dump all your quanta against black hole/discord decks.

Hrmmm seems like it should take the quanta and play the card (which would do nothing if you have no weapon) or not take the quanta and not play the card. Oh well thanks for the fast reply. I didn't see it on the Bug list/Not a bug list so i decided to throw it out there. Thanks again!  :)

If it's not on the bug list I think it's because it's not an actual bug. It's pretty weird though and I agree with you but I imagine the card working like that : you spend quanta to cast the spell, you realise that you don't have weapon so te spell is canceled but you don't loose the card.

Im guessing it does this similar to why you still lose the quanta even if you cast a creatures ability and cancel it. It is probably to tru to prevent a bug from happening.

yes but when you cancel a cretaure hability you can't use it after, you must wait your next turn ^^

Huh. Quite odd. I suppose it could be useful if you had a weapon and an animate weapon, then kept casting animate weapon until you were deprived of quanta so you can't be black hole'd, but that seems way too situational.

Yes, it does take away quanta even with no weapon in the slot, but I don't think it would be a good idea to waste all of your quanta, even against discord/black hole decks.
