VirtusVirtus was once a bodybuilder who often trained in the sunlight. He was resilient in all wakes of weather and nature, from the lightning bolts he took to the skin, to the antlions that gnawed on his flesh. Compared to an elemental, he was only a minor challenge, but he took it upon himself to become like the gods.

He decided he didn't need the dagger in his back, for he would bleed what kept him alive. He didn't need sparks of lightning, for those were fleeting blessings. He didn't need Immortals, for he had achieved immortality. He didn't need Guardian Angels, for he was his own. He didn't need antlions, for those only hindered him. He didn't need winged horses, or Holy Light, or a Solar Shield, because he had Hope; faith, that he, his strength, and the Light of the Sun would suffice. And he wasn't gonna let illness or any other inconvenience blot out the light without a fight, even if it takes him to the brink of death.
Bonus: a DoctorC-like depiction of it.
