i was ready to fight for the good side, short falls and all.
if people are really that worried about balance issues though, i'd suggest a quick fix would be to simply allow a 4-6 card splash of cards from the other side. this would allow some access to permanent removal for the good side, and a card that opens up a few more decks for the evil side as well, flying weapon.
That's practically just taking away the differences that make this event special.
On another note, SG, few of us are actually complaining. Before your clarification that this is primarily a test, we were under the impression that this was a competitive event, bragging rights and all. If there is anything a competitive gamer wants more than an advantage before the game starts, it's a fair fight before the game starts. Instead of "postponing" this event so quickly, you should allow your intentions to settle through those participating. I'm sure that the vast majority of people will stop the complaints, criticism, what have you, once they understand the true reason for this event.
Just something to point out, I don't think we could ever design a "fair" (agreed upon by the vast majority) two sided (or more) war between the elements until the card pool has at least doubled... I also think many elements are focused too much in one direction (their theme), when it would be beneficial to have them focus on dual themes. More cards make for a many, many more possible decks, while giving elements dual themes would allow depth, and essentially double the amount of elements we have without having to actually add any (which I hope never happens). What I mean by "depth" is just that in my opinion, Elements is primarily two-dimensional at the moment, so by implementing dual themes, we would be adding another entirely new dimension to the game, and I don't think anyone would be opposed to that. That's all opinion and subject to controversy and such, but it would be a step in the right direction in my opinion, so that is what I will stick with until someone can convince me otherwise.
Lastly, this post turned out to be a lot longer than I anticipated... Enjoy!
