Everyone just relax, I will explain what this event is about.
This event was never meant to be 'fair'.
What this means is that when I divided elements to Good and Evil, I didn't think about gameplay at all. I didn't think about who has permanent removal and who has creature control, I only thought about the theme of good vs. evil. And when we think about the 12 elements we have and the theme of good and evil, there's not much options left. For example I cannot put Fire in the side of Good just so that Good would get permanent removal. Fire is clearly considered Evil as it destroys things.
Just like in real war, things are not always 'fair'. Think of this event as an experiment and yourself a guinea pig. We are trying something new that has never been done before and in the process giving game developers valuable information about game balance.
There's a popular theory that Evil will walk over Good. However at this point it's only a threory because nobody knows what's going to happen. I've seen a lot of veteran players choose Evil side because they think it's stronger. I think it is a shame. If a player really thinks he's skilled, he should do the opposite and prove his skills by joining the weaker side. So instead of Evil players bashing Good players, they should respect them because Good players had the balls to do something you didn't - join the what is considered a weaker side.
I personally don't see a huge balance issue here in terms of cards. All elements can be powerful if used correctly. The biggest balance issue will be if most of the veterans are afraid of a challenge and take the easy road by joining the Evil side.
So if you are on the "weaker" side, think of it as a challenge. You didn't choose the easy road, you chose the difficult one. And if you reach the end, it's going to be that much sweeter.
