@xdude, Kamietsu, ddevans96:

If a deck made it into the competition, then people should have the freedom to vote for it. There is no point in complaining about people voting for Farmer Joe. The best solution would be just to take the offending deck out of the competition.

I would probably be disappointed if that deck actually made it into the game, because as ddevans96 pointed out, "It doesn't have the power or the sense to be a false god."  I am very confident in Zanz' abilities in chose which decks to incorporate, so I'm sure that Farmer Joe would probably only end up as an April fool's joke or something of that capacity.

With that said, I don't understand why people are taking this so seriously. People are just having fun voting, and there is no reason to get mad about it.

Yes, it won't be added as an FG, but it can win this competition.
The reason one could get upset is because it takes votes off serious contributions. But they are all contributions with some levels of work put into them, so as I've also been saying: either don't allow non-serious proposals, or live with them. As it is, they're living with them, even if there's some moaning along the way. x)

In the end, it doesn't necessarily completely matter who wins. Zanz has the final say and can choose not to add any more FG's if he so chooses that none of our entrants are up to par.

Despite how easy the deck would be to beat, it is easily arguable that it is a serious suggestion, even if the deck before the revision was easily seen as non-serious. I wish i could say I trust the people of this community to vote appropriately. Funny yet weak does not an FG make. Funny but strong would be plenty fine though.

to anyone that says Farmer Joe isnt a FG, to you- /raspberry.  would it be an easier fg? yes.  is that a bad thing? not in my opinion.  and honestly i think that playing against farmer joe *would* be fun, it would be like running into the pink bouncing blobs in the crater in ff7.  more fun than playing against brimstone: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,12524.0.html

Agreed. Besides, Farmer Joe does have a lot going as a FG. It's not a rusher, but it does creature spam and stay alive for a hell of a long time, putting up quite a fight. Could use a couple permanents, though. Maybe a Jade Staff and Diamond Shield?

Farmer Joe's playstyle is pretty similar to Ferox's, actually. No control, but fast creature spam and intense survival. His advantage is that he doesn't have to worry about permanent control. Ferox goes right down if you destroy his feral bonds. There's no way to stop Farmer Joe from healing except through quanta denial, which doesn't work too well against FG's anyway due to their triple mark and double amount of pillars.

I think Farmer Joe would be plenty fun to play against. Some may enjoy a tough struggle against, say, Rainbow, but most would groan or even quit upon seeing his name. Farmer Joe still provides a decent challenge, and there are enough hard gods already. It would be nice to enjoy a relaxed game every now and then while farming. He's at least harder than Neptune, who simply bores you as he tries to spam octopuses with two towers.

After looking at the final results, I feel like a hipster: I didn't vote for any of the top 3 decks, and all those I voted for ended up having 10-13 votes :-\

It's a pity a rainbow Crusader deck is getting less votes than boring Vader Sader. I don't see how the latter is any fun playing against, but I guess people like to win.
Pariah is the best by far, though. Making good use of unused cards in an uncommon way. Too bad Nightwalker wasn't liked; I love Deathstalkers.
Glad at least Nine Lives got top votes.

Nightwalker, Typhoon, Icarus and Charon were my favourites.
I am so surprised that a Crusader/Vamp Dagger deck got near the top. FG decks are supposed to be interesting/fun/not something you could encounter in PvP. While a crusader deck would be a good addition to the FGs, I would hope for a Crusader Titan/Owls Eye/Eternity, or anything not used often in PvP. (Jade staff too..)

And Dragon Lord, with 13 votes? Seriously. It just doesn't fit with anything elements has done so far, and I would hate to see it as an FG. And then I see a mirror of that deck in Dark Ages. Blah.

Also, if we get 4x new Rainbow FGs, then I will be...sad.
