Of the eight that are left, I think Determination and Resilience would be the best to vote for, because they are good cards, yet reasonably balanced.  Intuition is way overpowered, but if you want that, vote for it :D  I voted for Determination.  Most of my other picks didn't make it to the top 8 (I think I voted for that water one, but I didn't like the water ones) but I am glad to see that other than the intution shard, people didn't just vote for the way OP ones in the hope it would be added.  (if intuition added one card, instead of your entire hand, it would be fair, and could cost  :entropy less to use then)

edit because I can't spell "reasonably" right

@Hyroen - I undestand this and I think that it is fine buff for airborne creatures, but maybe not as Shard :)
I think that Shard should promote Element, not skill. What is more - it is rare card, so ability should be different. It is not fair, when Darkness can buy "buff +2/1" in Bazaar and Air have it in rare card (which is weaker, because it is +0-2/0).

Quote
Think about the Dive theme :air Air has.
Think about Vampire and others, here is a problem. When this buff will be as normal card which cost for example 3 :air there will be no problem, because vampire deck will have a problem to use it. When it is a Shard with  :rainbow cost we have a problem.

As a comment to Shard of Intuition, it is obviously not playable without Entropy. However, an effect like that is never playable outside of a rainbow. But it is better playable in an Entropy-based rainbow that in a non-Entropy-based rainbow, while still considerable in them. In that way it fulfills the criteria given.

Concerning the other shards, I am generally hesitant to vote for anything with 4 lines of text. That card better has some really convincing and interesting mechanic. You're supposed to design a card not write a book, so keep it simple. The beauty of games like Elements is that you can achieve complex game states with simple individual pieces.

I lost to a shard that doesn't even have an outright element specific bonus? Lame.

I've got to say, I like most of the shards that made it.  Like GG, I think mechanically the only two that are dubious are the two that require specific types of quanta to function -- and even then, I can see someone using the :darkness shard as a kind of permanent-lobo, where you steal the ability without ever intending to use it.

Still, looking at all of them, I had absolutely no hesitation in voting for Restraint.  It's the one that has the best in-game purpose (PC available to everyone!), the best unique mechanic (mass PC -- but balanced by the fact that it freezes your non-pillar permanents, too.  Buh-bye Permafrost!), and yet is balanced in it's niche.  Also, it's mine. :)

If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

Competition is looking good. Some were very close, some weren't as much. Hope that's good news for me. ^_^

Ignore the little :life Poll bar on the Air poll image. Inconsistencies ftw.
Just curious, and it looks like nobody's asked this yet, but did you forget to include the Gravity results, or was there some reason you couldn't show them? I wasn't expecting to make it to the finals, but I'd like to see how I did in comparison to everyone else (no matter how bad I may have done). I'm sure the other Gravity contestants would be interested as well.
