Okay, so uhhh.. I eventually decided to write a little something. Little is an understatement, unfortunately. A
big understatement. Since I withdrew my reservation earlier, I've used two rares as major roles in the story, though technically, I used every single one.. On the bright side, I basically did an all-in-one story that may as well be the basis for all of Elements! If this doesn't win the competition, I hope it can at least be archived somewhere to be read for enjoyment. That being said, if you're about to read it, then please, enjoy!

In a time long before elementals inhabited this world, there was only Nymphadora. Having spent countless ages in solitude, she was adept in the arts of creation. She spent her life decorating the land to her liking until, one day, she felt a deep sorrow, as there were no other beings to share in her delights. For this, she wept.
“What is power that is not shared?” she asked herself. Upon reaching an impasse to the wonder in her mind, she constructed eleven statues in her image. Each was granted with essence and command over a respective region. Nymphadora then distributed her powers among the statues, allowing them to create for themselves within their own regions. The statues came to be known as Nymphs, as each was similar to Nymphadora. In turn, Nymphadora was given the title of Nymph Queen.
The lands flourished under the reign of the Nymphs. Each of the Nymphs turned their own way to create wondeful masterpieces. The Purple Nymph invented chaos, allowing the random to occur. The Auburn brought forth the mountains and the underground. The Blue created the heavens. The Green spawned the creatures to dwell in the spaces provided by the Green and Blue. Each Nymph had something to offer the world.
Eventually, the Nymphs grew dissatisfied with their limited regions and saught to conquer one another’s land. The Nymphs erected pillars to draw power from. They commanded the creatures of their domain to attack the others. So began the war between elements.
During the war, again discontent with their limits, the Nymphs sought even greater power. They built pillar upon pillar, ‘til the pillars became towers. With the immense amount of energy emanating from the towers, the Nymphs forged weapons of destruction, each fashioned to their own prowess.
The Nymph Queen saw all this and was very displeased. Alas, she was incapable of stopping the warring Nymphs, as all her powers were infused in the Nymphs themselves. In despair, she wandered the lands in hopes of finding means to restore peace. After centuries of searching, she found herself standing on the remains of what was once the birthplace of the statues.
The years had not done the land well. Blood of the creatures sent to war was splattered across the floor, so thick that Nymphadora did not notice the pool of the substance she could not explain. It was not like anything she’d ever seen. Though it smelled of salt and sank through the spaces in between her fingers when she tried to grasp it, it was not blood. Instead, it was clear like glass. She named the great expanse “lake”, after the crimson colour of the blood that was found by the mass, and named the contents of the lake “water”.
As she drank from the pool of water, The Nymph Queen realized that the lake was made of her own tears so long ago. The drink endowed her with command over water, the source of all creation. With this newfound power, she forged her own weapon: a trident. Nymphadora used her trident to bring down the pillars and towers of the Nymphs, causing the loss of their power. This earned the Trident the title of Poseidon, the Earthshaker.
While the Nymphs were weak, The Nymph Queen seized their weapons and sealed the Nymphs inside ancient relics, fearing that leaving the Nymphs free would lead to another war. After the relics were hidden away and the Nymph’s weapons scattered across the land, Nymphadora decided that her work was done. She entered a state of rest, but not before creating the first elementals. Among these were Zanz, Scaredgirl, and Kamietsu.
Thus, the epic tale of Elements begins.
