The point about Kong made me wonder something:
Is Elements hosted anywhere other than here and on Kong, and, if so, is it integrated anywhere as deeply as it is with Kong?
Not that I currently know of doublecross, but I highly doubt that aside from Kongregate and the official Elements forums/site, there would be another place that would host the game without Zanzarino's permission.
What is with
"Hey all, vote for my entry, #, in the 'X-Competition' ASAP please! It's a cool idea" (In Real Life)
Not with those words obviously, but I can ask my friends (that I have shown Elements to) to vote for me, right?
With "In real Life" I also mean if it is 1 to 1 chat, like with Skype, Windows Life Messenger, Facebook...
...when I said that, I meant that you
should not advertise your card idea so that your friends can vote on it. Period.
I don't understand what's so hard about
not telling people to specifically vote for one's own competition entry regardless of what type of competition it's in (card design, artistic, deck-building, etc.). It's one thing if you want them to get involved with the Elements community and check out the polls, but for you to tell them to log into the forums -just- so that
they can vote for your number in a competition is above all, wrong.
So no, please don't tell people to vote on your ideas just so you can win a competition via Skype, Facebook, Windows Life Messanger, MySpace, Chat Roulette (or any chatroom whatsoever), IIRC, Kongregate, etc.
