I think Silkenfist's is the best "story". On the other hand Bloodshadow's is the best.. hmm.. how to define it? It's a really good intro-like composition. I do think it could be put in a short flash video before the game start, after the first time you login.

Seems like my story is really out of the play now, oh well. Just the fact that I worked three days for nothing is kind of disappointing. But you guys are the real writers, I'm just trying to get close to one. Congratulations for Silkenfist and Icebraker. Really amazing story you two produced, bloodshadow too.

So Silkenfist wrote the best "story", and I wrote the best "intro".

You said my story should be put into a Flash video the first time you play the game? Hmm... It's a bit too long for people to read. Maybe there should be a "Lore" button in the game, and when you click it, it explains the history of everything in Elements.

As I said before, I think my story is still incomplete. The biggest thing I have yet to explain in it was the origin of electrum, the currency of the elementals. I'll write a more "complete" version of it later.
And I am tempted to add some "true gods" in the story... But that's not a part of the game, so I'm hesitant.

And maybe I should write some spin-off stories about some of the cards, especially the Dragons, Nymphs, and Alchemy cards.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

Sorry for being a noob, but what does "appear out of the blue" mean?
Actually, this is not an actual idiom (happens to me in both my first and second language that I use expressions that don't exist). It is derived from "a bolt out of the blue" which is used to describe sudden and unexpected events (like a lightning bolt out of a blue sky).
It refered to the name Greeph that wasn't introduced in the story and only appeared when the character was just about to die.

Yeah, Silkenfist's is... epic. :D

But it's too long; it's called a "short" story for a reason. Many of these are quite long. But everyone did a great job. This contest was fun.
A short story is not necessary a "short" story. Short story is a specific genre. :)

Sad... I didn't win this contest... How many people actually voted? Everyone said my story was very good, but only 1 person voted for me... :'(
Don't get me wrong. I am NOT whining about this.

I think the next time, you should allow each person 3 votes.

Meh. I think 2 votes, based on a point system, is fine, if a point system can be implemented.

1st Choice: 2 Points
2nd Choice: 1 Point

etc.

That's not really practical with the voting system, without the votes being public.

Although I think there may be a way which involves there being two options for each person, and giving everyone three votes.
