Well this opposing elements thing was done by me and it's not an "official" rule. It just made most sense to me.

I can see how Entropy and Aether could be opposites but that would means Time and Gravity are opposites which makes absolutely no sense.

The way I see it, Entropy and Gravity are opposites because Entropy is all about chaos and randomness while Gravity is about order and balance.

Time and Aether both have this "other dimension" thing going for them. Maybe they are fighting for who is the ruler of another dimension or something?

Yep. Another way to think about it is in terms of real life (sort of). Entropy and Gravity are both important concepts in physics, with entropy being the core of thermodynamics and gravity is central to the study of mass. These are both relatively modern theories.

Time and Aether were both concepts known well before our age (Ancient Greeks and perhaps even before).

Well this competition failed big time because I received zero final entries.

But no worries. There were a lot of good suggestions which helped this project to go forward. I guess I'll do the "Natural Enemies" thing myself when I have time.

I should probably give akromat some kind of prize from his rotating images idea. It was clearly the most original idea on this thread and something that would fit perfectly to our forums. Akromat will receive an award icon as soon as I figure out what that icon is.
