When I saw the Failure card, I laughed.  A lot.

Anyway, thank the Elements community for suggesting this in the sticky suggestion thread.  They are the ones who at least inspired it.

I stayed up way too late messing around with this, but it struck me as a great competition idea so I had to enter something.  Voila!  The headlines were grabbed from real magazine covers with minimal word substitution (some with NO substitution.)

These are looking like some fantastic submissions so far, great job everyone. 

For those that are hesitant to create a submission because of the other submissions, create one anyway.  Even if you don't win the award icon, it is still practice and great fun to make.

The main was is that it is too busy. You have too many things happening for anything to stand out.

Suggestions:

1. Reduce the contrast and brighten the background so that it doesn't stand out so much.
2. Get rid of most of your text and just create a few article titles/ interesting headlines on the front. You have way too many right now.

I disagree somewhat. I think it is rather busy, but just adding a 1px black border to all the white text would make it pop and more visible/legible.
