Holy Necromancer: Looking at it makes me think immediately of a variation of Morte. However, looking closer, I see it's quite different. Retroviruses and BLights tend to fail at the hands of the AI, so keep that in mind. Also, some of your cards are conflicting with each other. Aflatoxin/Solar Buckler is a great combo to generate light for you, but plagues destroy that combo. Graveyards conflict with the space needed to play dragons. I also notice you have no Condors, which are perfect for that kind of deck. Also, you have too many Glories, which is wasted deck space. Fudge around a bit, see if you can tweak it to be more focused in it's strategy.

I think you completely misunderstood the point of my deck. I count on the AI playing Blights and Retroviruses wrong. That way they will fuel soul catcher. Which is also the point of plague and aflatoxin. Their field fills up and then the plague takes them all out, thus fueling soul catcher for some quick dragons. Condors defeat the purpose of the deck and increase the difficulty of the deck, which isn't what this competition is about. If it was about raw power and strength, I would have done a very different soul catcher orientated deck.

But i would greatly appreciate if you did not tell people what to do with their decks. Comments and ideas are always appreciated, but telling someone it's too big, that this or that should be changed is not, not for this thread. If you'd like to discuss more in depth about the decks, you can kindly request for that person to post it in the FG proposal area for more discussion. As long as the deck is posted here, it will be counted for the competition. There is nothing against posting the decks also in the FG Proposal topic. In fact, I think that will be changed some for future theme competitions, so this topic will remain as a submission topic instead of discussion.

Understood, and acknowledged. I was sort of thinking that if we are trying to add an FG to the game, it should get some feedback from people, to make sure that the deck-maker is entirely happy with their decks when they are finalized for the competition. I felt that it's important to at least give some amount of feedback, because this is a design competition, not a deck-making competition.
Even if the theme behind the god is perfect in the eyes of the deck-maker, the deck itself could always be improved upon. I was just trying to provide some of that feedback.

I support your idea of seperate topics for each Proposal, because I agree that as it stands this thread is hosting too much at a time. I think it's important to give/get feedback on decks, and many of the people making them are asking for some, but there's no topic to do so atm. It would help a lot if we make it clear that if you want feedback, then you should make a seperate topic.

And with that, I'll stop posting here. Please make a new topic if you want feedback on your deck.

Is it a requirement or strictly for those who wish to receive feedback?

It's not a requirement. It's just encouraged for those who wish to receive feedback.

It might be a good idea to to make it a requirement for the next 3 FG competitions. It's what we have been doing with card competitions as well because that way people don't spam the competition topic with feedback.

..Does the statement above make it a requirement to post in the FG Proposal area for this competition?
(I really hate having to ask these questions, but I'm afraid no one else would..)

Since we started this competition where you didn't have to post it in the FG Proposal area, I don't think it will be a requirement now. Changing the rules part way through is never a good idea. But the next 3 competitions will be a requirement.

Ogun revised and because of the comments on similarity with Hermes, now he became the forgotten warrior god he should be.

"His powers are now more single-minded, driven only by rage, by seeing what has become of his teachings. Summoning forth the primordial spirits of metal, that even the false gods have no remembrance of. Besides that, he is a fighter himself to be feared when he decides to pull out his machete paired by his umatched endurance."
Having few creatures and very limited creature control, his only strength is now his headstrong staying power, as the more the battle lasts the tougher he gets. Hope it's more satisfactory this way (still lacking in new cards, though..)
:water   "..It is in this domain that the living suffer great extremes, it is here that the water-failures, driven to desperation, make start in a new element.
It is here that strange compromises are made and new senses are born."

I'm applying with Pandora. (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,18612.0.html)

Yes, I know one of the gods is already named Pandora, but I posted the god on the FG Proposal section a while before this, and the idea REQUIRES this name. Badly. So I hope this is not against the rules.

EDIT:

The immortals know no care, yet the lot they spin for man is full of sorrow; on the floor of Zeus' palace there stand two urns, the one filled with evil gifts, and the other with good ones. He for whom Zeus the lord of thunder mixes the gifts he sends, will meet now with good and now with evil fortune; but he to whom Zeus sends none but evil gifts will be pointed at by the finger of scorn, the hand of famine will pursue him to the ends of the world, and he will go up and down the face of the earth, respected neither by gods nor men.
 - from the Iliad

Pandora opened the urn filled with evil gifts, and left everything that was inside it spread into the world. Mankind seemed doomed, but lastly, in the hands of the woman, remained the last of the things contained in the urn: Hope.

This deck revolves around Flying Discords, Pandaemoniums and Hope. Strong defense, Discords screw the opponent's quanta badly, Pandaemoniums to kill opponent's creatures. It's a deck that I created based on a theme rather than efficiency, while keeping an eye out to not completely making this suck. It's not the strongest god out there, but it can hold its own.

Toruk, the last shadow. This great beast is the terror of the air, and the sky turns dark when he flies overhead. His sharp eyes allow him to see every detail on the ground. He attacks from above, easily dodging any retaliation. Occasionally, he will dive down for an extra powerful strike. He preys on those he defeats, restoring a bit of his own health. After combat, Toruk returns to the air, soaring majestically through the sky. Envied by all, loved by none.

(Yes, he's the thing from Avatar. If that's not okay, I'll come up with a different name.)
