Oi, what if Jangoo never shows up?

Does it count as my win because I was ready and he wasn't?

Because we are counting only the total number of victories on each team, any matches that do not happen because the players cannot get together and fight will be counted as zero victories for each player.  There are too many variables as to why that might happen to assign blame to one party or the other.

If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

Um.. what?

Lets say I am unlucky and have to fight someone with a total counter to my deck. Now instead actually fighting him and taking an almost certain loss, I can simply choose not to fight and there are no consequences?

There are not that many variables. Only variable is whether the person shows up to fight or not. If he doesn't, it should be a loss. I had a similar situation where person A and person B had to fight but it didn't happen. However person A PM'd me a couple of times, saying that he's ready to fight but cannot contact person B. I didn't hear anything from person B. This was enough proof to give the win to person A.

With this tournament the problem is of course that you only gave players 72 hours to fight. That's not much. Gone for the weekend? Boom, you just missed the tournament.

Wishful thinking. While you are looking for that dreaded army at the horizon,
Lance-a-lot has just finished his weekend and comes charging through your back-door.  ;)
Looking at our decks, this should be a very close match. :o

"Unfortunately", the sun decided to really show her face for the first time this year and I had to help some friends move ... so the weekend quickly ate away on that time-limit for me.
Almost two days remaining however and I am ready to go now:

I am at gmt+2 and could play starting around 7pm gmt. Also, I am a nightowl if RL permits.
I will see to be on today at midnight (10pm gmt), e.g. ... when could you best play?

-----

I also agree, that certain moves to try and make a match happening should definitely have happened before discarding a match as 0-0.
If it still didn't happen because "everytime he is on I am well asleep", "grandmother died" or what ever good reason there may be, then so be it.
Even though this is an unofficial tourney and the actual outcome may not be all that important after all, it still is a tourney.

Well it's a good thing I fought, and lost 3 times in a row. Well, at least it wasn't direct counter decks vsing each other. Good job Antagon, and If there's a second round Good Luck.

SG brings up a good point, and the weekend thing is a good point, too.  I'm adding 24 more hours to the first round, and instituting a new policy: any time you PM another player to get ahold of him, BCC me.  If I get PMs from one player and not another, the player who BCCed me gets 2 victories to his credit if the match doesn't happen within the time limit.

So, everyone who is trying to find their opponent, go back and forward me those messages.

Also, if the deadline approaches and you can send me a screenshot of your opponent's profile (where it says the last time they were online) and prove that he's been online since the round started and just ignored you, you get a third point to your credit.
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

I'm at -5 GMT, but I can be on around 8GMT generally, or at least today. Tomorrow is going to be very busy for me, and I;ll be getting home late on Wednesday. Thursday I am leaving for vacation.

Best way to do it is to simply have both of us come into chat and meet up when we can, since arranging times can be difficult and sometimes hard to stick with.

On the decks, it'll probably all come down to how many dragons I draw. They're pretty immune to damage deaths, you're going to need 30+ quanta for one.

I really regret taking gravity shield instead of diamond now, it'd easily have won the game for me. I think Gravity Force will stay on the ash though, so got a bit of luck to dis-encourage phoenixes.
