Every civilization has their gods to protect them. Vikings had Aesir, greeks had Olympians, slavs, egyptians, chinese, native americans - you name it. When times would get dark, these gods would shield their servants from whatever disasters would be brought on them. Atlantis is no exception. Endangered, Atlanteans would call to the primordial beings called The Titans.

Gaia is the personification of the earth and mother of all life. She is associated with forces of Nature, and has many sacred forests growing throughout the Atlantis. Rumors heard that when those forests are endangered, trees would come to life, turning from still wood into ferocious beasts.

Cronus is the king of Titans. He was the one who led his brothers and sisters in rebellion against his father Oranos, and the one who won the Titanomachy against the olympians, claiming the Staff of Titans. His most known deed was devouring his children in order to prevent the war against titans and olympians, which was sabotaged by his wife Rheia

Prometheus is known for being creator of mankind out of clay. The Titan uses his powers often, when the atlanteans are found in need of an army. Promethean creations guide valorous people of Atlantis into battle, with powers of fire and sword, they destroy any enemy that would threaten the home of the Titans

Atlas played the final part in Titanomachy, his power over the Sky was unmatched by the Olympians. Atlas' strength allowed him and his soldiers to defeat the olympian gods. After the Titan War was over, he claimed leadership over the land of daring thoughts and incredible creations, now known as Atlantis.

Atlantis as a land is located in the middle of the Great Ocean, which is ruled over by Oceanus and his daughters - water nymphs. If any outside force was to threaten the people of Atlantis, Oceanus would be their first line of defense. And who knows what horrors lie beyond its waters.
Ooc: Titanomachy wasn't won by the Titans, but then again, neither did Atlantis actually exist. We took a lot of creative liberty. =p
