I think there should been a more fair way for everyone to get equal chance to post.
Most of the options were taken before Flayne, Bloodshadow, and Rutarete could get much Opportunity to post. I am sure other folks also didn't their fair shot at this either.
Since Tdog and I were both incredibly busy the first day of the competition, we only got 1 card idea down between the two of us, before we had no idea which card ideas were taken or not. I agree that there needs to be a better way to do this competition.
Perhaps we could have a series of "blitzes". Each day, about 15-20 different requirements could be outlined for cards with a variety of card difficulties. After they are used up, a different set of requirements are put up the next day, and it would continue like that until a week or so has gone by, depending on the length of the competition. You might also see more harder requirements towards the end of the competition than towards the beginning.
If you wanted to make it more fair, you could also post the new sets of requirements at different times of the day for each blitz. For instance, on one day the blitz could start at 6:00 AM, the next day 3:00 PM, the next at noon, etc. This would make it even more random, and teams would need to stake out the thread to be able to strike first. Plus it also helps when team members need to go to work or school, who might miss 40 requirements over the course of a day. It makes it more gradual and gives them a better chance to get their ideas down quickly.
