Team Card Design!
Because the more creativity, the better.
Objective: Try to design as many quality cards as you can in a Team-Blitz off, and choose the best card from the bunch to win the polls for the highest score!
(Major thanks to EmeraldTiger for suggesting the idea earlier.
)
There are three phases to the event: Signing up, 'Blitz', and the Voting stage.
SIGNING-UP:-In order for a participant to enter this new card design competition, they
must declare to be on a team. A team consists of at least 2 people, but the maximum limit in a group is 5.
-Within this thread,
all members on a team -must- post what team they are on by posting all of their other members within a single post. In other words, if Player A lists himself and Player B, Player B must do the same. This is to ensure that if a 'Player C' decides that they wants to join Player A & B's team, they cannot do so without the team's consent (i.e. - they all have to include him within their posts in order for the team to add Player C).
-Teams can also make up their own names, although any inappropriate names will be reported to the CO's and Global Mods if necessary.
-There is no limit to the number of teams that can enter the competition, although there should be a minimum of at least 4 before it can be run.
NOTICE: ALL members of a team must
edit THEIR POSTS to include all updates to any team changes, additions,
and removals of team members. This means:
-If a person on your team doesn't post accordingly to the specifications on the first post, the team will not be created.
-If you fail to edit your own post regarding the
addition of a new teammate,
they won't be included.-If you fail to edit your own post regarding the
removal of a teammate,
they will still be included, and thus be tasked to participate in the Blitz stage.-Player A posts: "Team Awesome has A, B, & D in it."
-Player B posts: "I don't think Team Awesome should be our name, A, but yeah, A, B, & D is in it."
-Player C posts: "Uh, no you didn't. Team Awesome is only comprised of B & C (me!)"
-Player D posts: "Hush C. Team Awesome has the following players only- A B D"
-...
-
Team "Awesome" (or whatever the team is called) is then comprised of A, B, and D. Player C is left out.SIGN-UP PHASE:Sign-up Phase is now over!Sign-ups:
- warmastofa (majofa, ddevans96)
- Emerald Blade Runners (Zblader, Nepycros, Jippy99, EmeraldTiger)
- Sunland Baobab (OldTrees, Manipul8r)
- Transcendental Blood (Flayne, Rutarete)
- Fivedogs (tdog0001, Five in One)
- X2TM (XYTWO, The Mormegil)
- The Silver Lotus (Jocko, PlayerOa, Thalas)

The 'BLITZ' system:'Blitz' is the act of going "all-out"; in the same way, this phase is basically where each of the Teams literally make a mad dash to score the most points within the time duration.
-Once the 'Blitz' phase occurs, a special Card Submission topic (
http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,25674.0.html) will open for teams to submit their cards:
http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,25674.0.html-At the same time, a table with sets of requirements for a single pair of cards are then displayed within the main topic. Each of these sets are given
point values based on the
difficulty of the requirements.
-Whenever the card is made, it's scratched off the list and no other team can design that card with the requirements. (In other words, if Team A designs to design a card with the single requirement that it has to cost 2 quanta first, it gets scratched off and no other team can design that card) - As they say:
First come, first serve score!-POSTING the cards is very specific:
- When a team decides to post a card within the submission topic above, the players must go through a cycle when they post for their team's submissions. For example:
- Suppose there was a team consisting of Scaredgirl, Kuroaitou, and Kamietsu.
- Scaredgirl posts the first idea in the topic for an easy card idea. Kuroaitou follows up quickly and posts a very difficult card concept. Even if Kamietsu decides to go AFK for the next 3 days or so, they must wait for him to post the next card, or else their idea will be deleted and ignored.
- General rule: If you have 2 players, post alternately on the submissions topic. If you have 3 or more on your team, rotate between all of them.
- This rule is to ensure that all card designers on a team are active within the event, and more importantly, to ensure that the no single person can just 'spam' ideas until there's nothing left.
-Only the IMAGES and the SET OF REQUIREMENTS should be placed on a submission post.
-Once the phase is over, the total number of points from all of the cards will be counted together, and added to the team's final scores.
BLITZ PHASE:The Blitz is now over! Voting will be up shortly...
Voting:'VOTING' PHASE:Voting is now over.Once the Blitz phase is over, each team has only
2 days to decide what card that they've created was the 'best' one during the Blitzing process, and nominate it for the poll. Once all of the candidates have been received, they will be placed on the ballot and voting will then resume. The top 3 cards will also receive a small point bonus for getting the top 3 spots on the poll.
Teams that fail to submit their 'poll card' will not have any of their cards placed on their poll, and thus receive no score during this phase. The number of points gained from this phase is equivalent to the number of votes the card has gotten, as well as the placement (if it's in the top 3).
All points will then be counted up, and then award icons shall be given out to all participating members of the winning team in question.
Good luck!

-All artwork MUST BE DRAWN IN MSPAINT, and BOTH of the card images (non-upped and upgraded) need to be distinct from one another.
-Your card idea can must fulfill a minimum of
ten (10) NON-ART RELATED requirements (only two from each set maximum) that can be from any of the sets between 51-95. You must also list each requirement in the table as noted.
*Example of the above, w/o listing the exact wording: 'The first requirement of sets: 52, 56, 67, 69, 71, the second requirement of sets 51 & 84, the third requirement of 94, and the last requirements of 69 and 94 (51, 52, 56, 67, 69, 69, 71, 84, 94, 94)" - only a maximum of 2 requirements is used from sets 69 and 94
-Teams can post requirement combinations similar to another, but cannot post the same requirement combination a teammate has already done (teams can have the same requirement sets, but cannot copy card ideas, nor can they spam the same card idea 'numbers' over and over.
-Teams can post as many ideas as they want before the Blitz phase is over.
-No points are docked if you fail to meet one of the requirements in these card ideas.
