2 submissions were excluded for the following reasons :
Size parameters were not 500 x 500.
One submission was rescaled from a different size image than 500x500. (The original image you draw must be fit these parameters otherwise it will not be accepted.)

Check out the fourth competition here (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,27107.0.html)!
Or just check out some of the previous entries!

Objective:

Recreate a copy of an existing card in MS Paint (or whatever art program you have), not the entire card, just the art part of it, no card border, no text, no ability info, just the art. There is a second part to this: You only have 5 minutes to do it, max.

(For those of you with more advanced art programs, you are not allowed to use any advanced tool. Circular, square, and line brushes and pencils only 100% hardness; circle, square, rounded rectangle shape tools only; eraser; paint bucket tool; line tool. In other words, I discourage everyone from using a more advanced painting program.)

Also, you are not allowed to use a tablet of any kind. Only use your mouse, please.

5 minutes?! You probably think I'm not being serious, but I am. I know none of us will have a true way to make sure that you stick to those time constraints so this will be based on the honor system. If you can't be honest in your art submission, why even bother?

This competition isn't about who can recreate a card the best, this is about fun. Masterpieces are not what this competition is about. You do not need any talent whatsoever to participate, just a creative mind, a little time, and a few simple brushes.

The winner will receive an award icon!

Rules:
1. Recreate an existing card's art using a very basic paint program(or very basic tools in a more advanced program.)
2. All art submitted to that competition has to A) have been made with MSPaint or B) has to LOOK like they were made with MS paint. If it looks "advanced", it will be disqualified.
3. All submissions much be 500x500. Any other sized submissions will not be accepted. You may not rescale your submission.
4. This is not a reworking card art competition. You are to use the art on the card as your reference to simply copy it using a basic art program.
5. All submission must have been done within the 5 minute max time frame.
6. This is not about the absolute best art, this is about having fun.
7. Don't reveal what your card is. It's more fun that way :)
8. Each card can only have 2 submissions from different users. Once a card art has had 2 redraws submitted for it, it cannot be used for the remainder of the competition. (Keep in mind there are many cards, so try to be creative. ;) )
9. 1 Entry per person.

One last note: Everyone, please don't submit the thumbnail version of your drawing. Use the link to the full scale drawing. It's easier on me and everyone else.

Submission and Voting
The Competition's Submission Phase will run for 10 days. After that, there will be a 7 day poll held to determine the winner.

Time's Up. Best of luck!

I was going to do an earth mark but i am colorblind and felt the off chance it would end up green or red is a little too risky.

Wow, five minutes really puts me on edge.  :)) In the end it took me four tries just to get something vaguely recognizable.

This is silly and not in the competition's aim in my opinion-it's all about 1st try 1st go...

You may reedit your submission post if you want to replace it with a new/redrawn one, but you cannot have more than 1 submission total.

Well, there's nothing wrong with practicing, IMHO - if you feel that practicing produces the most fun and best 5-minute attempt you make in the end, then feel free to go ahead and do that. One of the main points of this competition is to have fun, though, so try not to stress too much. ;)

I'm going to say up to 2 people can draw the same (actual) card art. There should be enough cards to avoid any duplicates, though.
(I personally haven't seen any multiple entries in the past MSPaint Comps for one card and the current one has yet to have such a case.)

EDIT : Due to time constraints, I've been forced to shorten the Submission Phase a bit. Apologies if this disrupts anything.

I always love to see all the entries, especially the ones that aren't that accurate. After I figured out how to kind of use paint, I might as well add my own to the mix.

Really how did my picture get to 524x500...? oh well. It was fun to draw it

Next time if you think a submission is bad a little warning might be helpful.

While I try to give helpful reminders outside the rules when I can in competitions, I can't remember everything - that's why 500 x 500 is highlighted in the rules.

Like handing in an assignment or an important piece of work, it's ultimately the creator who must double check, not the person who created the task in the first place. My apologies. :(

Resizing the image from something else to 500x500.

3. All submissions much be 500x500. Any other sized submissions will not be accepted. You may not rescale your submission.
Sorry. :(
