Would brawl's way of voting for competitions be a good idea? It seems like that way it'd reduce bias a little.

We are definitely trying our best....now....to keep at least one active Competition. And speaking of that method of doing submission, I might actually be doing a test run of it in my next Competition. So keep your eyes out for it. Actually, keep your eyes in, it's much easier to see that way.

I don't get it. Do we have few competitions in the forums? Plenty of forum games and PvP events are running, Brawl keeps going, after Brawl we have Trials, after Trials we have War etc. I really don't think community has problem with running competitions.

We recently experienced a few periods of downtime where none of us were able to get Competitions posted for a while. I believe furball is referring to that. (This is also the reason we're looking for a new CO, btw.)

Also, Brawl kind of took interest away from Competitions due to both being similar in terms of purpose (In a nutshell, both are forum-based submissions that are voted on - Brawl's longer and team-based.)

Feedback on competitions such as the epic 3 card one:

Why 3 cards? It really didn't matter if they were submitted in groups of three since in the end voting was done on just one. One of my ideas was good, but the other two were pretty bad, yet I still won. I just question the point of having to submit 3 at a time when in the end only one matters. Usually when things are grouped together, it represents a set to be judged as one. Otherwise, there is no need to do individual voting for each group, then vote on the best out of each group if in the end it just boils down to which is the best.

I disagree.  Voting on each type separately resulted in minor wins for each of three people.  If the competition had been who had the best 3 cards, I would have had no chance.  (By your own admission, neither would you.)  Instead, I won in one category.  I didn't get an icon for it, but I still got a sense of accomplishment.  I think the current format is perfect.
