The way I see it, if you're a "master" of an element, you should have upped cards of that particular element. I'm not saying every card of the deck has to be upped, but at least half of them should be.

I have none. But I know the game almost like the back of my hand, because I've been playing since v0.4 or something, I can't remember. I never really bothered to grind because it was not my thing. I participate actively in the forums. Any objections?

I had exactly 2 upgraded Water cards (Permafrost for PuppyChow's deck and Ulitharid for SG's pre-sundial-nerf deck) when this thread got posted.  In the intervening 2 weeks, I ground, and now I'm about 7 cards shy of a fully-upgraded set of Water cards.

I get that some people don't live at their keyboard, but there's really no excuse for not having at least busted out and nabbed a few key cards in your Element.  (Except Coinich, who clearly missed out on the whole thing from the getgo. xD )

On the bright side, I've had at least a couple upgraded death cards already, so I wasn't so off kilter...

I'm curious.. how on earth (no pun intended) don't you have any upgraded Darkness cards when you have been playing since v0.4?

You already said you don't do PvP. Then do you fight FG's, level 1, or what?

Nice catching that...do you just pool electrum? Or troll forums like me and playing is secondary?

^ This. Not even one Improved Steal?! If grinding isn't your thing, then how/why do you play this?

As I said above, playing the game is secondary. Frankly, grinding AI3 again and again is not the most fun thing for me to do (unupped godkiller has a really low win rate and I have to grind AI3 to get up when I go on losing streaks against FGs); I seriously do have other things to do. Sure, if I have more time each day on the computer, I might dedicate some of my time to playing the game; but at 2 hours max per day, I really have to distribute my time among a lot of things. You know that grinding takes hours and hours, and I'm really not willing to sacrifice days of computer time just for grinding.
However, I do still like the game. Even though I'm unwilling to grind, I'm still unwilling to tear myself away from this game. Right now I'm pretty much in "observer" mode, seeing what updates Zanz comes up with next. Maybe in the future grinding will become easier.

I don't care if you strip me of my title, but I do wish that you don't take the title away from me simply because I have no upgraded cards. I believe that I know the game extremely well comparatively, and I do allot a significant portion of that 2 hours I have to being in this forum. I think this is enough for me to qualify as a Master. Again, nobody said that having upgraded decks of your element is is a prerequisite for being a Master.

Don't worry, Bloodshadow, she already said that the upgraded deck thing was a prereq for applicants, not current Masters.  I think you're safe -- until unless someone beats your butt and takes your place.

learn2read, prerequisite for applicants, not current masters.

Just tell me when and/or where did she say it. I know it said applicants, but that means if I get defeated, then I can't ever become a Master again. Don't get me wrong, I'm not whining about this.

I honestly don't know(nor do I care) I was just going off of hearsay.
