I agree that Quicksand is a ridiculously strong card (when comparing mono decks) partnered with pulv (even though its onyl 1 every other turn thats enough) gives earth a large advantage,

The point is not about Earth having Quicksand and Pulverizer. It's about other elements NOT having permanent protection. I mean, really, NONE of the other elements have ANY permanent protection AT ALL. Which leaves them extremely vulnerable to Quicksand and Pulverizer. And not to mention Shrieker rush.

Well I suppose it's a good thing so many decks can work without permanents.  Air, darkness, fire, life, and light all can work without a single permanent in them.

life and light can because they have a reflective shield in them Iv only beaten a shrieker rush deck once because i got all my cards I needed on the first hand.

@Gl1tch, you are wrong, pillars and towers are also permanents from what i understand, those elements you mentioned cannot work with only their mark.

Without pillars? Only Nova/Immolation can work without pillars. Or FFQ/Rustler. Or RoL... Hmm.

But not every element can make Pillarless decks.

Oh, and theoretically, you could run Aether with a Ball Lightning & Fractal deck with your Mark fueling the fractal.

Discard the Immortals, Phase Dragons, and Phase Spiders. This would make for a really awesome deck.
