Deck 1:

I knew I had Icy reeling (without really trying to) and he thought I was going to use a deck out deck, but then I figured he would know I knew that so would go standard aether. I was right.

(Time mark)

Decked him out.

Deck 2:

This was the one I wasn't sure about. I *thought* he might go either way, either thinking I thought he would go aggro and therefore use standard aether again or just counter my previous deck. Therefore I went with a combo that had a chance against both but wasn't guaranteed against either (though it did have a better chance against a standard).

(Aether mark)

Killed him with Anubi/Eternity.

Deck 3:

I was fairly certain I had him reeling again and thought he would stay with the same (or so), since from 1-2 he had switched and lost. So he would attempt the alternate route and try staying the same, assuming he then thought I would think to switch back. This deck, while it focuses on killing, also has the sogs and turtle shells so I had a *chance* to deck him out if he actually did go standard.

(Time mark)

Killed him with 3 dragons/2 sogs.

GGs.

...Didn't understand a word of that. All I know is that you have tons of PvP experience, while my tricking skills need some brushing up.

Also, Puppy accidentally refreshed during the 2nd game, meaning that he could've lost. I could've exploited that if I wanted to, thus making me the REAL winner! :D

Or not. That made no sense.

@puppy: just wondering why you have the lone Anubis in the first deck...is it for bouncing, psyching out, or what? If only for bouncing, wouldn't a cheaper creature be better for you, since there is no :aether ?

He used it to Rewind. Several reasons:

1) Sticking it in my face
2) If he made the stupid error of playing it and forgetting to rewind it, it wouldn't die as easily

He also had the option to use its ability, because he had Aether mark.

Not in the first deck, he didn't. I prayed so hard for him to draw Eternity last. The Gods are vengeful.

I didn't feel like going to the bazaar to buy a deja vu, to be honest  ;D. And since it has 12 time quanta created/turn and Icy has no way to alter that, I knew the casting cost of anubis wouldn't matter.

Let's stop mentioning d*cks for a second and use kinder analogies. Very, very disturbing images are now materializing in my head. ;)

sorry, didn't mean to offend anyone, or give anyone suggestive imagery (on an off note, ever seen the end of superbad? one of my favorite credit rolls ever lol)

so who's left here and what round is everyone on? it's getting hard for me to follow for some reason...could be studying for tests, but who knows.

Well I'm happy with the thought that both Puppy and jmizzle won't be in the finals, and either life or light will probably be the other one, so I can QS xdude and just use diamond shield for Ohmega...

I'm in top 3, xdude (Light) has to play whoever wins in Ohmega (Life) vs. Coinich (Death) for a place, and Puppy (Time) has to play Jmizzle (Entropy) for a place in top 3
I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.

Seems like the majority of matches are 0/3 or something like that. Now I don't feel too fail anymore...

And yeah... Lack of upgraded cards is death. Sigh, Icy... Sigh, myself... Two of the best Mono decks, wiped out...
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.
