Fate Egg + Fate = Win
Tell me this awesome creature that has the ability destroy. Oh wait. There isn't one :).
Who said anything about destroying. Surely there is another way as well?
There IS momentum and you could (in theory) crack a fate egg to create a Fallen Elf that mutates one of your creatures into a mutant with the ability "destroy". I can calculate the odds for you if I have some spare time the next days :p

You could do it right now, I suppose. I'm bored enough to do it ;)
Ok.

Odds; 0 %. Even if you hatch a Fallen Elf you can't use its ability :D

I said time has no permanent control, you said think fate egg, I said no creature gotten from fate egg can control permanents :).

For permanent control, the only three abilities are destroy, steal, and tsunami. So, like sliken said, I would need to rely on getting a fallen druid from a fate egg and then get a mutant with steal or destroy.

Or I could rely on getting elite chargers, but I would hope Icy has a lobo, and at most I would get 1 likely :).

Oh and icy, I would take some quantum towers if I seriously wanted to rely on that. Mono time mutant factory ftw.

Yeah, I used to have a lobo but my finger slipped (twice) (SERIOUSLY) and I accidentally sold it. How stupid am I? ;P

...

Why did I just tell that to you.

xdude haven't shown up yet... I hope he doesn't have any upped cards.

Nah... I'll just get mauled by Mono Fire or Mono Aether.

I don't think Quantum Pillars and Novas should be allowed for this. Even if it decreases the odds a bit, it kills the purpose of being mono.

Sometimes a specific element can be in a disadvantage but that's what being a Master is all about - overcoming the odds. The key to victory is: Know your enemy. Here it's easy because you know all the cards that the opponent might had. Now all you need to do is build a counter for it.
I get the point of "know your enemy" and try to build a counter deck, but sometimes this just isn't possible given some of the limits in the game. Just like Puppy said, I don't see any ways a Mono Time can overcome a Mono Aether. Sure, it's possible, but the chance is so slim that I'm not willing to bet on it. No matter what you do, SG, this will be unbalanced.

Personally, I'm against this sort of element-to-element matches until Zanz had thoroughly balanced all twelve elements and made sure that they're all equal in power and strategies.

Oh yeah, that part when I said I never did any PvP at all wasn't really true. I did some PvP Duel with my friend Necromage.
But again, how can you be sure that the in game account is really the same person as the user in this forum? For all I know I could just ask one of my friends with a fully upped deck to pose as me. Not that I or any other Master would ever do anything dirty like that, but that's always a possibility.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

The most damage I could do in one turn is 13*6+2*5+4=92 (unless I used fate eggs). And then there's the issue of stalling to get 6 dragons, 2 anubii, and an eternity.
If my opponents wouldn't die so soon, it would be possible for me to do infinite damage with a time deck. Do you want me to demonstrate the concept? :)

Oh, and question: Is a mono deck allowed to feature more than one type of pillars? Like aether pillars for my Anubii? (Anubites? Anubisses? More than one Anubi?) I can do my trick without, but it'll take longer.

The maximum damage a mono-time deck can do in one turn is 142 ((13+5+4)*6+2*5) or 134 (if Animate Weapon cannot be used) not considering Fate Eggs. Infinite Deja Vu is a nice idea but there is limited field space.

You sure about that? Think again. :)

Anyone who says mono Time cannot have permanent control is simply wrong. There is a possibility. It's not a big possibility but that's why they call it Fate Egg. :)

I've been thinking about what Delreich said earlier on this thread..

We need to change the mono deck rules a bit for this competition. Here are the new rules:

1. You can only use cards from your own element + "Other"
2. You can use any mark

This way it's a "true" mono deck.

Old rules were not fair because for example anyone could use Flying Weapon, making Air basically have one less card available to him.

If this new rule change screwed up your strategy, don't worry, you still have plenty of time to make up a new one.
