Are you 100% sure about that?
I have to say you probably have the biggest challenge knowing how strong mono-Aether is but it's not like it's impossible to win. You might need to stall, have a bit of luck, and strike at the right time. Keep in mind that Aether immortal creatures are expensive to play.
All I can is good luck
Yes, I am 100% sure that Time has no permanent control. It can rewind, and that's pretty much it. And if the opponent has immortal aether creatures, it can't rewind.
Against a deck with 6 dim shields, it WOULD be impossible to win, save for him not drawing any dim shields until the last 16 cards in the deck. And just because they're expensive to play doesn't matter; I can't rewind them, since they're immortal.
The most damage I could do in one turn is 13*6+2*5+4=92 (unless I used fate eggs). And then there's the issue of stalling to get 6 dragons, 2 anubii, and an eternity. It's possible with precogs and hourglasses, but by then if he's smart he would just chain dim shields even if I had no damage out and then beat me down.
All that said, I
do have a deck idea with a shot at winning, but it's pretty dang unorthodox and desperate
