Time before the matches will start: Matches have started!
This competition is for Masters only! It is time to see which element is the strongest!

ROUND ONE
Masters from opposing elements will fight each other.

Light vs. Darkness
Life vs. Death
Water vs. Fire
Air vs. Earth
Time vs. Aether
Gravity vs. Entropy


ROUND TWO
(Winner of Light vs. Darkness) vs. (Winner of Life vs. Death)
(Winner of Water vs. Fire) vs. (Winner of Air vs. Earth)
(Winner of Time vs. Aether) vs. (Winner of Gravity vs. Entropy)


ROUND THREE
The remaining three will fight each other, and the one with least points drops out.

 
FINALS
Last two standing will fight each other.



RULES:

- best out of five matches, meaning the first person who wins 3 matches, is the winner
- you can only use cards from your own element (+"other" cards)
- you can use any mark you want
- if you are confused about what that means, ask me.
- you can use both upgraded and non-upgraded versions
- you can change decks between matches.
- you have to take a screenshot of ALL the decks you used, and post them on this thread after the round is over
- you have to contact your opponent yourself and arrange the battle at a time that suits you both. If you are not present at that time, you will get a "yellow card". If it happens again, you will be disqualified.
- report the match results here, along with all the decks used.

Breaking any of the rules above will result in an immediate disqualification. Please read the rules very carefully. It's too late to say"I didn't know" when you have been disqualified.


Winner will get a cool award icon. and more importantly, the better you do in this challenge, the more advantage you will get later when someone is trying to take your title away from you.

SG, you see the problem here? Some elements are suited for mono while others are terrible. Light VS Dark is almost the best example.

I hope xdude doesn't have any upgraded cards, because otherwise I'm screwed. I only have five upgraded cards, I never did a single match of PvP in my entire Elements gaming experience, and I'm unwilling to spend time grinding.

Hmm. This may actually even it out a bit. But against other elements like Fire I'm definitely screwed.

Another thing: are we allowed to use a different Mark for splash decks? Being Darkness, you'll probably know which element I'm going to splash in.

No, I don't see a problem. If a Master thinks his/her element is "terrible" in a mono vs. mono situation, he/she should be looking for a new job.

Sometimes a specific element can be in a disadvantage but that's what being a Master is all about - overcoming the odds. The key to victory is: Know your enemy. Here it's easy because you know all the cards that the opponent might had. Now all you need to do is build a counter for it.

The new definition of a mono deck does allow you to use any mark you want. You can also take zero-cost cards from other elements. As long as none of your cards have a non-darkness icon on the top-right corner, you are playing a mono deck.

As I have said before, being a master doesn't necessarily mean that you are the best player, but the fact that you never played PvP (?!) and are "unwilling to spend time grinding", might suggest your reigh as a Master will be short unless you do something about it.

Is there a way to challenge masters and take their title?

I have been unable to find the answer in past threads.

RULES:

- you can only use a mono deck of your own element.
- you can use any cards in your deck as long as the deck stays mono (Cards cost only 1 type of element to be played)
- if you are confused about what a mono-deck is, ask me.

I think this is one case where quanta usage shouldn't matter at all for the mono-ness of a deck.
Animate Weapon is an Air card, it makes no sense whatsoever to use it in a deck meant to promote Light, for example.
Same can be said about Ray of Light, Sundial and the various pillars and towers as well (think Nymph's Tears).

Allowing Masters to use any cards they want (possibly excluding mark cards) from their own element's tab and the 'Other' tab should be enough.
An off-element mark should probably be allowed, as that's not part of the deck, but I suppose that can be argued as well.


@ Kael Hate: There will be a way to challenge. I think every three months was what was said, or something like that.
