Are we allowed to post a joke submission? Because I have a really good idea on a joke submission.

There's nothing wrong with it as far as I've seen, but posting a competition card in this section can really help improve the card with the feedback given. I think people generally don't post competition ideas until said competition is over mainly out of respect of the individual designer's ability (not to mention that if one person does it we may eventually have CI&A flooded with tons of ideas that haven't been thought out too well yet, which we'd like to avoid.).

For now, I'd advise against posting Competition submissions in the CI&A section until I get clarification with the other CO's. Apologies for any inconveniences.

Actually it is a rule. It was implemented when we started that new section for competition submissions.


To explain to everyone, it should work like this:

1. Organizer starts a new topic in the Competition section
2. Participants post their card submissions in the Card Idea Competition Submissions (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/board,232.0.html) section (one card idea per topic)
3. Participants go to the main topic in Competition section and post a link (or links) to their submission topic


Current competitions use an incorrect system of having only one topic for all submissions, which is against the whole point of having a separate section for submissions. We can finish the current competitions using that system, but will go back to the correct system starting from the next competition.

The Authors of the card ideas decide that themselves. Most do not think their ideas are worth pursuing beyond the competition. Those that do start in the Smithy often with a new thread that links the old.
