MAIN RULES:- Before the Tournament begins, members are first asked to sign-up for the competition, by replying to this thread, preferably with some smack-talk. A maximum of 32 players can sign-up, but more are welcome to sign up as a substitutes. Substitutes will only be allowed before the second round.
- The Tournament is organized in a double-elimination format. Each round, participants are seeded against one another (brackets will be provided) and given a royalty-free piece of artwork to design a card. The artwork cannot be modified in any way, shape, or form.
- Starting from the first round, there will be a special set of requirements to what the card does or how it must behave. (i.e. - the card cannot deal direct damage to the player/the card must be of the element X, etc.)
- Participants post their card ideas in the Card Idea Competition Submissions Sub-Board. Click Me.
During each new 'round', they must post their cards in the EXACT topic they started.
See the format of how to do this: Click Me. - The two cards dueling against each other will be posted in the second post of this thread to be voted on by the community. If 32 people start, there will be 16 polls in the first voting phase, 8 polls in the 2nd, etc, etc, until there are only two designers left. Cards that fit the requirements accurately and are innovative will generally succeed; ones that don't will generally receive fewer votes and be eliminated.
- Once the winners of each round are declared, the seeding is repeated and new art assigned, with different limitations for the round and new polls. This process repeats until there is only one designer left standing...
- This will be a DOUBLE-ELIMINATION style tournament with a twist: The losers bracket will sometimes, depending on the number of participants, have MULTI-MAN ELIMINATIONS to keep the tournament moving. An example of this would be if there are four players in the loser's bracket, and two in the winners bracket, there will be a 1v1 in the winner's bracket and a 4 man group in the loser's bracket to find the two finalists.
- The format of these Multi-Man Eliminations will be the same as with a normal match, but (in the 4 man example group above) will have a 4 entry poll, rather than just 2.
- ...and the ultimate winner will get a (semi) customized award icon for their efforts!

PARASITE RULES:- After each round, the votes are tallied, and the loser is killed. Their body is left in the shadows, and Parasites thrive!
- Defeated players become Parasites. Between each Voting Phase, and the start of the next round, will be the Infection Phase.
- During Infection Phases, Parasites do two things:
- Infect: Choose, from three options, one additional restrictions that the player who defeated you will have to follow in the next round.
- Adapt: Guess what percentage of votes the player they are infecting will receive in the next round. If you are within 5%, you survive, and will infect them again the following round.
- It is possible, therefore, that a player will become infected by several Parasites as the tournament progresses.
- The first time you are defeated, you will be a Parasite for the person who defeated you, but you will continue to play in the loser's bracket.
- When defeated in the loser's bracket, the 2nd PLACE in a group will be a Parasite for the winner. If it is a 1v1, then the loser will automatically become the winner's parasite.
- For this reason, if you keep guessing the voting percentage correctly, it is possible you may end up as a parasite for two players. This is allowed, UNLESS your two players would face eachother. If this happens, you will only be a parasite for the player who defeated you in the loser's bracket.
Send your opponents into the darkness... But beware what the darkness sends back at you!
HELPFUL ADVICE:- Xenocidius'/Planplan's Card Image Builder is found here: Click Me!
- However, the instant 'Upload to Imgur' button is broken. Instead, save it as .PNG, and manually upload it to Imgur.
- You will not be formally penalized for not posting your card in the standard Card Design Table, but remember you are likely to lose votes if your posted cards are messy or poorly explained. Here is the accepted Card Design Table code:

BRACKETS:Below is an APPROXIMATION of the brackets. Essentially, the Winner's Bracket is accurate, but the Loser's Bracket will be shortened by group stages.
Additionally, to lessen the disadvantage of playing in the 4 preliminary matches, the losers of those matches will enter the Loser's Bracket at THE SAME TIME as the losers of the following Round's 8 games.
Parasites will also NOT be created from the 4 preliminary matches. My apologies if you were looking forward to being a Parasite, but it would be unfair on those who had the misfortune to play those 4 games. Remember, you might have a chance to be a Parasite when/if you get knocked out of the Loser's Bracket.
The Tournament Schedule will therefore run like this:
Round 1: 4 Games in Winner's.
Round 2: 8 Games in Winner's.
Round 3: 4 Games in Winner's, 4 Groups of 3 in Loser's.
Round 4: 2 Games in Winner's, 2 Groups of 4 in Loser's.
Round 5: 1 Game in Winner's, 1 Group of 3 in Loser's.
Round 6: Final.
(Round 7: Repeated Final if Winner's Bracket Winner lost.)
