Though it's bad form to vote on yourself
Yeah, most competitions IRL assume contestants vote on themselves. This way it's moot whether you allow participants to vote or not, and if you don't vote on yourself yer kinda dumb.
Two contrasting opinions.
Can we get an official ruling on this, because it is not fair to simultaneously feel bad for voting for yourself, but thinking you are at a disadvantage if you do not vote for yourself.
IMO, as it is impossible to bar certain people from voting, it makes far more sense to say all competitors should vote on themselves (unless they really feel an opponent's is much more deserving). That way "bad form" and "disadvantage" does not come into it. Everyone gets their own vote, and it is the votes of the non-competitors that matter.
I'd like an answer from Competition Organisers, and not an opinion, but an actual ruling - I don't like feeling like I am being unsporting voting on myself, or that I am putting myself at a disadvantage NOT voting on myself
