The smaller one looks considerably feebler. At least it's still readable.

Just my 2 cents, but Kry's .gifs feel like they'd be a bit too flashy at times while browsing the forums. I like Clean's more subtle gifs better - overall I think he and Treldon nail the feel of the forum banners the best.

Oh, there's one of Treldon's that just seems perfect to me - not going to name it for the purposes of bias.

But overall - I think it's a shame there are so few submissions

Actually I had doubts myself if my gifs are suitable for staff forum banner. I also really like Treldon's banners and I knew subtler gifs like Clean's are probably better, but the truth is I had no better ideas for my submissions I at least had fun making them, even though that Newsletter Writer banner was too time consuming I hope they are at least nice to watch as arts in general. Or are they too flashy anyway?

The thing is that they're nice to watch but I feel like Chat Moderator could be a bit hard on the eyes with the glow; Brawlmaster has enough of a 'shock' where I could see it being distracting from the post. Newsletter Writer is your best submission in this particular context, IMHO.

Granted, this is judging mostly from how I'd see them as forum banners - as gifs, they're pretty great.

This is enough for me Zephyr, thanks for kind words Yes, I'm quite satisfied with that NL banner, the concept was to present the act of writing. Maybe as a banner it would be better without scroll furling and unfurling, but I needed something to make a nice loop I can easily modify it though in the future to make it an actual better forum banner.

On the other hand if the current banner for NL writer can be changed, Treldon's banner is also great, so it may be perceived as biased if I insist on using my banner. In that case I would leave the decision to other NL writers which one they prefer.

BTW I hoped for more submissions It would be great to have more art competitions, but it seems not many members are interested in them. But maybe they are not advertised well enough? For example Flayne hasn't seen it before.

I plugged  this comp about 8 times in chat, and extended  the timer, as well as approaching people I knew were interested in art in PMs.
We are always trying to tempt submissions, if anyone has any ideas about how we could advertise more effectively I'd really love to hear your thoughts, send me a PM
I do think that we have some excellent submissions though, and I think the winner will stand a decent chance of being  implemented

I really wanted to participate but the timing of this with RL was too bad for me. Also, my favourite banner is not participating (Treldon's for CC ) but I'll vote anyway.

Really liked these, and all the suggested Brawl banners <3. Went with Clean and Treldon for the most part, I love Krzy's gifs (especially BM!) but I agree they're a bit much for casual foruming. I might have to find another use for that giff though
