What did you see at first look? ... And it is sitting in the nest (perhaps), that's why legs are not visible. Questions for others: are legs neccessary?

Legs appearing or not would depend on the position of the bird. If we are looking the bird from behind/front and it is tilting the head, then no legs are fine (you could draw part of the right leg if you wanted). If we are looking the bird on profile then the legs should be appearing (and be very close to each other).

So do whatever you want .

I'm actually really pleased with how this turned out. I originally had the background all green and was going to change it all red just to see what it would look like. Got halfway and decided it looked rather excellent

Simple is good and triangles are fun. Those random lines are just an after thought I threw in.

At first I didn't notice the beak, so I saw it as umm... let's just call it Mr.Hankey (from South Park). The brown background color just strenghtened this image.

Ok, who also does NOT see a bird in my picture? I wanted to make it simple, it was intentional. Is there anyone else who also see Mr.Hankey?
