I don't have any fancy tools so I just made it one pixel at a time (took ~6 hours total).

Am I supposed to feel offended by this?

I'm just saying you can achieve far better results than me with less effort, by simply using the right tools :p

I'm pretty sure they didn't intend to offend anybody. I guess they just thought that the fact they put one pixel at a time is cooler/better/trendier/whatever than using drawing tools    (it's definitely harder though, so more challenging, thus I give them my respect).

You do realize that Cactus and Torb made banners for the same element? You don't have to reject the element you want just cuz me or someone else already did a banner about it.

And what's with all of you having such low expectations about their art? Art isn't something competitive. It can't be measured and, to be honest, it shouldn't be. Every artpiece is supposed to be unique and, thus, good in its own way. Self critisism is a good thing, but not to the point where you trashtalk yourself into oblivion.

You are awesome, and so is your art. Now get yourself together and do what you love, cuz I believe in you, and so does the entire EtG community.

Here's a thing to understand. All of us have people we look up to. Sometimes it's one person, sometimes (more commonly) a bunch. Why? Because we find them better than we are. Whether it's true or not, depends on a situtaion, but even if they are, if they're on the place where they stand right now, it can only mean one thing - you can be there too. It just requires a bunch of work to put in.

Nothing sucks. Everything has its pros and cons. There always are gonna be people who like your work or who don't. That's just how it works. Just put your heart into what you do and don't compare anything you do to anyone else.

(Also, nothing that praises  can suck, so go ahead.)
