Skill of the Elemental
Original Idea by Kamietsu; Inspired By Trial |  Art from ETG, Kamietsu; Inspired By Trial

It was a dark night, long ago, when the Elemental War began. Every Element had every other Element reigning down on it with no mercy. Some battles were won, others lost, and mass destruction had fallen over the lands. On the night of 1.30 DE(During Elements) the creator of the world looked down on the fighting Elementals. With a deep breath, the creator shouted down blessing from up high and enchanted the Elementals in hopes they would survive better. Each blessing granted the Elementals a special ability to help them survive the war, or bring it to an end quicker.

Rules:

This effectively gives you a way to use multiple shards to their full potential, and any other future cards that may give you a bonus depending on your mark. It works like this:

You activate the skill and the usual targeting crosshair appears on each element of your quanta pool. You select one and your mark becomes a 'dual mark': looks like half this and half that. After that all cards that gives bonuses/penalties/other stuff depending on your mark will 'think' you have the appropriate mark and thus grant the bonus/penalty. However, despite appearing like a dual mark, only :darkness quanta will be generated.
The ability is reusable but can 'contain' only one element at a time. Example:

You have Mark of Deception. You use a Gratitude/Void/Divinity deck.

You have multiple Voids and Gratitudes on the field, so you have the mark on Darkness/Life currently. You have multiple Divinities in your hand, so you decide it's worth to lose the SoG bonus for a turn to boost your max health by a lot more. You spend the 2 :darkness and select Light (now your mark becomes Darkness/Light) and now cast all the SoDs in your hand, each granting you 24 hp while still doing 3 damage with Void. Next turn you realise you need the healing and switch your mark back to Life and enjoy the 5 hp healing.

And why would this be good?
Well, Shard of Void is generally seen as a weak card; this could certainly increase its potential. This mark ability could also increase the amount of 'mark affinity' cards in the future.

For now Fortify will only increase your Damage Reduction if 2 conditions are met:
  • A shield is equipped
  • Your shield reduces damage by a fixed amount (Shield[1], Skull Shield[1], Emerald Shield[1], Ice Shield[1], Titanium Shield[2], etc.)

If this is too limited I will expand this to include any and all shields. In this case, if a physical attack goes through while Fog Shield is equipped it will be reduced by 1 damage. I would personally prefer not to, as it makes less thematic sense.

Fortify will be able to affect immaterial shields with the understanding that Fortify affects your self/shield slot (similar to Flying Weapon), and thus disregards immateriality.

Yes, it's this ability again. Water is reliant on "forced duos" to utilize its synergies with other elements, and the Transmute ability tries to do some quanta fixing to relieve some of that dependence, and also smooths over minor quanta issues.

The ability is quite flavourful when put on the Mark, as it exemplifies a Water elemental's ability to adapt to the styles of the other elements, much like the cards of its own element. Why is it the Mark of the Alchemist? Water's alchemy card is Nymph's Tears, which is able to generate Nymphs that can produce the effects of an alchemy card -- this connection makes the name quite fitting.

Mechanic: when the Transmute ability is used, a targeting cursor appears on each of the quanta pools belonging to the player with the Mark of the Alchemist. Selecting a quanta pool will add 1 quanta to that particular pool. Obviously only usable once per turn.

Balance: Theoretically, a 1:1 conversion ratio makes Mark of the Alchemist functionally equivalent to a regular mark of any element at any time (for the purposes of this 'enhanced mark' competition, it would be fine, but in regular use, would make normal marks obsolete). Currently considering increasing the ability cost to :water :water for 1 quanta generated, but it looks underpowered with that conversion rate.

Evade works for Mark of Liberty as it does for Shard of Freedom, however Mark of Liberty expands to any airborne creature. The evade component of Shard of Freedom only includes :air Air creatures.

While Evade is a component of the Shard of Freedom it has not been incorporated into any other card as a skill that can be activated.

Perfect for all FW decks and ideal for :air Air's frail creatures. Cards like Rewind, Antimatter and Parallel Universe may now have some issues against :air Air.

um....    i'm don't really sure can my card get in this (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,38760.0.html) competition.  cuz i don't see other one use kind of name other than "mark of ***"     seriously.   i don't even sure Kamietsu will come and check this topic as it's a competition topic.   ?_? 

my concept for all mark ability card is 'prime'.   not much to say.   really.  i just don't want to have 'mark of'  for my card name.   and it's not in rule to do,  so it's prime.   just as i said before.

feel little sad cuz it already have card name like this.   but i still think "eclipse" suit this ability the best.  Darkness than can even turn white in to black.  it's power is to conceal thing that normally you can't touch it.  your opponent mark.

but basically.  this card just stop your opponent to generate 1 quantum for that turn.   turn pendulum to work just like pillar.  reduce the power of some shard and some weapon.  Just obscure.  :D

How it works:
Each turn, for one :death quanta:
1-) It destroys target death creature.
2-) It puts 1 (unupped) or 2 (upped) poison counters on the opponent.

It might destroy any death creature. friend or foe.

Why is it useful ?: It is like catapult but in death fashion. (And frankly, sacrificing creature should be more of a death ability). Poisons the opponent when your death creatures are stuck either by a shield or antimatter. It also DOES trigger death effects so you will buff your BW, graveyard, soul catchers, vultures.

Concept: The death creatures belong to the land of the dead. They are always haunted and cursed by the call of Necropolis. At one point they can no longer endure and their souls are fiercly pulled back to their grave while leaving their rotting poisonous waste behind.

A defensive side of Fire. Incinerate your own creatures to remove debilitating status conditions from them. Yes, you can Incinerate your own Immofodder to make 'cheap' Phoenixes, but it still costs you 6 :fire and two turns to get to the final product. It's a rather steep cost to save your own creatures, but the option is there, and it's reusable.

Details: Both unupped and upped versions will Incinerate creatures into unupped Ashes (which will rebirth into unupped Phoenixes). The newly-Incinerated Ash is treated as if it was just summoned.

Interactions:
  • Does not trigger death effects.
  • Any status effects (Freeze, Adrenaline, Gravity Pull, etc.) are removed.

Mechanic: When activated, Incinerate puts a targeting cursor over all of the player's own targetable creatures, and he or she can choose to turn one of them to Ash.
