Okay, so let's assume that the opponent has no form of CC and you have unlimited quanta. By 8 turns, most non-stall decks will have beaten you. Remember that many rush decks have an avg ttw of 5.
Okay, so let's say that you have only 6 Zs in your 30-card deck. That makes them do 6 damage each when you have 3 of them out. I don't know about you, but it takes me at least 8 turns to get 3 graboids out. In 8 turns, you'll do a measly 18 damage per turn from Zs alone.
So, let's say you're also packing twin universes. In the first turn, you might have one or two out, so you have one monster that does
2 damage or two that do a total of 8 damage. This is either dramatically lower than a rush card, or on par with Phase Spiders.
The fact that they are extremely weak in the beginning of the match must be taken into account. So with 12 cards of your 30-card deck being Zs or Twin Universes, you should have a total of 6 Zs in play by 8 turns. So on the eighth turn you'll be doing 72 damage per turn. That's a lot, but remember,
this is assuming the opponent has no CC and you aren't dead by the eighth turn.Fractal drains all your aether quanta per use. So, assuming you get impeccable draws and are able to play 8 out of the 18 aether towers from your starting hand, plus one from mark for 9 quanta per turn:
Starting turn. 8
from playing towers.
Second turn. Draw and play one. 2 damage. (98)
Third turn. Fractal for 7 after discard. 2 damage. (96)
Fourth turn. Play 3. 32 damage. (74)
Fifth turn. Play 3. 98 damage. (-24)
It has the same turns to win on an impossible draw as the average turns to win on destroyer rush.
Are you guys convinced NOW?
