Think about it this way.

You spend 6 :aether to destroy a creature. I think that this is valid in and of itself; if it doesn't seem good to you, I will increase the cost by 1 to make it 7 :aether. Seriously, it's not that overpowered, but...

Next, at the cost of a whole turn's delay and the amount of quanta that the card actually costs, you may play the creature you just destroyed. This is a pretty hefty price, but it's worth it.

All in all, this card is not overpowered, methinks. But if you think the cost should be increased for the upgraded version, say so.

Curious thought.

This card doesn't really work in an Mono Aether unless the opponent uses Aether creatures (speaking of course the upgraded card) and the only creature that Aether has is the Spider/Recluse. Everything else is Immortal, so I am curious if this should card should turn it Aether? To help those decks, I'm not sure how it would be beneficial any way else (unless your duo/trio and the creature you destroy is of an element your playing)

Turning it Aether would make it even more overpowered. These cards are intended for mono or duo decks. Aether is a very secluded element and it had little to no synergy with other elements beforehand. With the introduction of Fractal, lots of new synergies were created; now, I intend to create even more. Death / Aether will be strengthened with Wormhole and Skeletons. Entropy / Aether will be strengthened with Warp Hole and Supernova.

In a mono-Aether, you can theoretically use Warp Hole to simply destroy creatures at the cost of one of your own turns.

Yeah I didn't think it completely through when I thought about the Mono-Aether, but yeah something to make Duo and Trio decks work better is a good idea in my book, I also like how you are giving Aether more synergies, since they seem to be lacking just a tad in that department.

Just to make sure I understood this correctly..

This is like Rewind, only instead of:
"The target creature becomes the first card of the creature owner's deck"

It does:
"The target creature becomes the first card of the creature owner's OPPONENTS deck"

Pretty much, except it can only do you or your opponent to make it more specific. The upgraded version is a converse of the unupgraded version.

"Sacrifice" can only target your own creatures, while "destroy" can target all creatures. Am I correct?
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

Correct. Just like Immolation, sacrifice can only target your own creatures.
