1) a card being Rare does not serve for balancing purposes.
2) light and aether have a pretty good combination already, as RoL Hope.
3) the summoning cost is too low. i'd say 6, minimum.
4) sure, a high activation cost. but if there's any element that has a high cost overall it's Aether. leave that as it is.

While people always jump to RoL/Fractal/Hope when they think :light / :aether, it'd be nice if thinking outside that box was done.
I'd say there's more of an issue of it being redundant with Anubis, which already doesn't see a lot of play. Perhaps it can just protect permanents? (A cost of 5-7 would probably be acceptable with that change).
You should also link the art source for the card.

I agree with the guys up there, it should protect only permanents, and maybe only one per turn, something like the guard skill is now, but instead of stopping an enemy creature  it'd protect your permanent, in that way it could have a lower cost, I don't see why it should use aether in that case tho.

Why:
Quinting already exist, so giving another creature the same ability would not only be redundant bout would decrease the value of the already existing creatures(one of them is a nymph, so ye it's a big deal).
Having a PA'ing creature  would be too powerful and decrease the value of protect artifact itself.

So maybe 6  :light for summoning and 4|3  :aether to enchant permanents only? The problem is that Anubis has 3 higher ATK, 4 HP, and can protect creatures (which I think is better) for only 2 summoning quanta more. so um...

I think so also, maybe it would be interesting if the effect lasted only for one turn, a bit like the Vanadium Warden, with a cost of 3 for example, this might justify the low summoning cost. Also, I'd change the nature of the quanta cost, combine it with a different element,  :air, maybe even  :earth.

I like the figure of the wolf, it would bring a slightly nordic theme to light, that has taken on a crusade theme, would be nice for the "pagan" game of elements.

Speaking of which, you still need to state where the art came from.

I would have the effect be permanent, or last 2-3 turns at least - 1 turn just makes it a really expensive and variable PA. If you do go with a turn limited PA, lower the cost.

A nice idea (looks like wolves are getting popular). I'm glad that this one went to Light.
The idea is excellent, but I wonder why does the upgraded version cost more.
However, aether does already have creature protection, I would not connect this card with it (nor with Earth, which has permanent protection and should have another form of creature protection - burrow). Perhaps Life, but rather Time. I think, protection fits the concept of time.

I don't know who made the art but it's free without link so I used it. I put  :aether for the effect because it has white wings, making it look like  :light (possibly  :air?) and the stars seem like it's flying through Aether. Besides, I brought up  :aether/ :light duos in a chat room and all anybody could think of was RoL/Fractal/Hope so this could be a nice addition.

I think the protection should be indefinite because it casts a spell like quintessence instead of physically guarding them like Varidium Warden.

But coming back to my first point, it is way less powerful than Anubis so maybe it should cost less than 5-6?

Regarding the art - you'll have to name a source of some kind since the Curators will ask anyway even if you don't.

Regarding balance:
(Assuming that the card can only protect permanents.)

Creature Value = Attack + Skill Value + HP modifier + Elemental bonus
Attack : +2
HP : +0 (1-5)
Skill Value: +2 (A PA on a stick is great, but eventually you'll run out of things to protect.)
Bonuses : -1 (Expensive Skill), -1 (Duo Skill Cost)
Total : 2
Upgrade gets -1 as a bonus.
Upgraded Total : 1

It's on the verge of overlapping with Photon.

I would suggest the following -
Lower the ability cost to :aether for both versions.
Change the cost to 3 :light (unupped) and 2 :light (upped)

Does everyone like this? I think it looks good because you can only enchant so many permanents.

PS is everyone (okay, the majority) fine with the :aether/ :light combo?

I'd be more interested in this if the Wolf was the only thing protecting them. So if the wolf dies, the enchantment disappears.
Perception is the source of misunderstanding.

Why, yes. I do have a Mindgate necklace. It's how I ninja everyone.
