I'm assuming that because the cost on the upped card, in addition to it's function, it's a joke card?

Otherwise, it would be fun to play on an opponent just for kicks ;)

i can see the relevense to karma that this card has, but i think it could be much better. karma is more of a good or bad consiquence thing, not just bad. maybe something like "target creature gains the voodoo effect"? or it could be a spin off of voodoo " bond of fate: target creature is destroyed when this card is destroyed"

I suggest not to drain all remaining quanta, it is normally for even higher cost spells. Anyways, I actually think that the upped card is actually worse than the unupped.

This and Mindgate wouldn't stop for just one turn. As long as he has at least 2 aether and 5 other quanta to spare, he can lock down all drawing ability.
